RE: Manuel Martin
Her second husband's last name was Rusenstrom. I don't know who else would have paid for the burial. They were both born in the Azores and immigrated through Mass into California shortly before his death. They might have come to join other family but we're not sure. Her brothers probably went by Campos or Brazil and his would have been Martin or Martins.

RE: Manuel Martin
There's no other family there that I'm aware of. After he died his wife Rose took the kids and moved to Sacramento where she re-married. Her maiden name was Rosa Silveira Brazil do Campos.

RE: Manuel Martin
When he immigrated to the US they used 1876 as his birth year, but his actual baptismal record in the Azores said it was 1875, same day and month. I'm not sure why it got changed once he got here, but it stuck.

It won't let me add an attachment in this msg, so I'm going to save the newspaper article and his death certificate that list Vandalia (bottom right corner)to his grave post. You should be able to view it now.

RE: Manuel Martin
morning Linda,
No cemetery record is a fact. I do not track obits. Let me know if you find where he is buried. I believe it was stated he had no money so Traver would be a good choice.

RE: Manuel Frank Martin
Thank you, I have a copy of the original obit and funeral program where this cemetery was listed. His family was very poor when he passed away. He left a wife and many children, so I doubt they could afford markers or even a plot. Would there have been a paupers section that he might have ended up in?
