|In the course of researching my family history I discovered Find A Grave and joined in order to enter memorials for my ancestors. I currently have significant family care giving responsibilities and cannot spend as much time as I'd like on my hobbies. As a result I'm not actively photographing and transcribing any cemeteries. |
From time to time I enter memorials based on my online genealogical research and obituaries.
I'm happy to transfer graves to family members.

Hi Alison, I did not know Ellenor. I have been researching my grandmother's line (the Herman's). Ellenor's husband is a descendant of the Hermans. We never knew that side of the family. It's nice to find people with a connection to them.

Hello, I just received your edit for Ellenor Nodson and I was wondering if you are a relative? Ellenor's husband George is the grandson of my 3rd great grandfather, George John Nodson, Sr.
|Steve McBride||RE: Skyline|
Good to hear from you. I'm sorry family challenges forced you to give up your cemetery work, but they are lucky to have you to support them. At the time we were first in touch, I was working on Garden of Atonement, I think. When I finished that and couldn't get in touch with you, I started working on Masonic Garden. I'll probably get it completed this year.
I'm glad to hear you're still active in doing research. Thanks for the newspaper archive offer. I'll keep that in mind and let others working on Skyline know when I'm in touch with them.
Hi Alison, I was glad to see that you'd approved my edit for Donald Marquez. If I remember correctly, you contacted me when I first started working on Skyline. At the time, I think you were working on Masonic Garden. Do I have that right?
|Laura (Rohe)||Bennie Seder|
Bennie Seder was the child of my maternal grandmother, Cora Ann. Bennie was a twin, and we were wondering if you knew where the other child was buried. My aunt, Grace, was thinking the other child was buried in Geneseo, where both Ben and my grandmother, Cora, are buried. I have been to that cemetary many times and never have seen a marker there. Thank you for any information you can give us.
|Kathy Barnes||Myra McGill & Zachary McGill|
I noticed a message from Sue Tanner in regards to Myra & Zachary McGill. I am seeking relatives of Myra as she was born Myra Maude Hartsuck in Iowa. My husband is a Hartsuck, Myra is his great Aunt.I would be interested to know any info if you could please send me a e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.

I had previously listed links or web addresses in other memorials and have been "scolded" for doing so, as it is against Find A Grave rules.
I will add to his memorial that his "Death record can be viewed at the website seekingmichigan"
The following rule is in their FAQs section about links:
"Links to other websites or email addresses are not allowed within any memorial.
These standards will be added to and updated from time to time. Find A Grave reserves the right to edit any biography submitted to the site to conform to these and any future posted standards."
|Angela Owens Jando||RE: Harriette Montgomery, 6694198|
That would be great! My email is email@example.com. I declined it because Harriet's birth is before the mother's birth year. I understand that the original contributor might have gotten things quite mixed up so documentation would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the source info on Stella Gideon. I have updated her memorial.
I am not related, if you are and want her transferred to you just let me know.
Thanks for your Find A Grave work
