Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been facinated by cemeteries. I grew up across the street from a large cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas and would spend my summer afternoons wondering through the graves admiring the unique headstones. This love has followed me to adulthood as I travel with my job and prefer to pack a lunch and find a lovely cemetery to eat at and wander through than to eat in a restaurant. I just recently found Find A Grave when I began doing genealogy research. I was so touched to see that someone had been sweet and taken a photo of my baby girl's headstone and realized what a wonderful way to be productive when traveling Arkansas and enjoying my lunches and cemeteries.

I give my permission for family members to use the pictures of headstones that I have taken. I keep all of my pictures and will be happy to provide a high resolution picture through email.

Glover photos
Thank you so much for the headstone photos for John and Mamie Glover. It really helps me with my family genealogy research to know where my ancestors are buried. :-)
Thanks again,

Memorial 127351828
Thank you for adding my brothers grave. We are so lucky to have someone to take their time and add his memorial. The rest of his family is buried in Ohio.

Thank you,

Morris Otto Bish is my great-great grandfather. My father, Charles F. Bish (1925-2004), told me of his memories of meeting Morris Bish when my dad was a boy. Thank you for posting this memorial. I was very pleased to find it on Find A Grave.

By the way, Morris was married to Mary Catherine "Kate" Bish [nee Sherman]. Unfortunately, I do not know if she was buried by Morris, although I assume she is.

Arthur Porter #58135288

We were recently contacted by another contributor regarding our memorial for Arthur Porter. Apparently we mistakenly created a duplicate for Arther Albert Porter #35759753 due to a misspelled first name. Would you be so kind as to add your obit to his memorial and then let us know so that we can delete our duplicate?

Thank you so much for all you do for the Find A Grave community and God bless!

RE: Ruth Irene Kelly Mason
Yes, my Mother was her first cousin, that makes me her second cousin. Her Mother, Virginia Dodson Kelly, was my Grandmother's, Rosa Lee Dodson Newcomb, sister. My Mother was Virginia Alice Newcomb Wilson. She was one of four "Virginia's" in the Newcomb-Dodson families. Grandma Dodson was also Virginia. This family had a problem naming their children. Virginia Dodson Kelly was called "Jenny" and my Mother was stuck with "Virgie" which she hated most of her life!

Jerry Capshaw

Freida: "Dandy" was my great uncle. I knew him personally. His true given name was Granville David. Allegedly the name Granville came from an English lord from the 1600s, who was involved in distribution of land from the King of England. This is all family lore, and has been handed down by the family. His grandfather's name David Granville Capshaw, Jr., ergo his gg grandfather was David Granville. Regardless of what his registration card says, (the one I have shows him as "Grand Dandy Capshaw")there is no reason to believe that his given name would have actually been GranDville.

Often, the registrar would fill out these cards, and more often, the registrant would NOT fill out the card properly due to distrust and/or disdain of the government.

Thank you for contacting me, and keep up your good work.
