Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love the way findagrave.com combines geography with history. The places our ancestors lived are as important as their names and dates. It's hard to pass up a cemetery. Whether you know someone buried there or not, you know the people there were treasured by someone, and all of them had a story.

When I run into a brick wall on my Blanset, Naylor, Williams, Ecker, or Rosa ancestors, I am happy to chase somebody else's. It's always fascinating to unravel a mystery, and fun to share with someone who wants to know.

The Internet is a fabulous tool for researching family history, but it doesn't match the thrill of discovery in a musty courthouse vault or a shady cemetery. I'm glad that we share our finds, but I hope everyone interested in family history gets the chance to walk the ground their ancestors walked.

Find A Grave Changes
******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

RE: Mary E Winemiller
Janet, Elizabeth Myers was Mary Ellen Nelson Winemiller's mother. I just found the marriage notice from the Cumberland Co. Historical Society for Mary's parents, Josiah Nelson and Elizabeth Myers on Dec. 25, 1838. Carrie C.

RE: Mary E Winemiller
Hello Janet, Yes Mary has a Penn Death Certificate, date of death is 31 May 1927 in Paxtang. Her father was Josiah Nelson. Her son William who gave the info for the D.C. put her mother down as Ellen Smith, but in all the census 1850-1880 only Elizabeth Myers Nelson is with Josiah. So possible that Ellen died by 1847-8 as the next daughter Maria who has a D.C. and who was born in 1848, her mother is listed as Elizabeth Myers. Or son William got it wrong. Thanks Carrie C.

documentation
Hi Janet, Yes, I have documentation for all the edits that I suggested. I have death certificates and veterans pension information. I also have family bibles with births, full name, and death information, and church records with weddings. Please let me know what kind of documentation you need and I will be sure to get it to you.

Names
So I scrolled through some of the names and recognize many. They were very large families back then. Some last names are Bixler, Reisinger, Hench and others. The thing is many of the girls married these families except I think a Bixler married a Flickinger. I saw no Shreffler's. All of the Flickingers are related. So until I read through the two family books and plug in more of the family on ancestry I will stick with Flickinger family for now and get back to you on other family members. Thank You again.

RE: Margaret Flickinger
That would be great if you transferred it. Once things settle down and I move to Illinois next year I plan on getting back into this. I have a book on the Flickinger family and some grave photo's and family pictures I can add. So any Flickinger's you transfer or Shreffler's I would greatly appreciate. I might end up finding you have their spouses also. but for now Flickinger is great. I will have to look again at what cemetery they are buried at and then I can figure out the other family members who are also there from our Family History Book. Thank You again. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Margaret Flickinger
This is my distant Great Grandmother and her maiden name was Yohn. I also have a list of all of her and Henry's children taken from the Flickinger Family History book written in the early 1900's and in the Library of Congress.

Hi Janet;

Would you mind also transferring Jean's wife's memorial, too, so that I can edit their last names to be the same? (Mem #24909281)

Thanks so much, Patsy
