|Marty Wilson||RE: Thank you!|
You are welcome, If I had known a few days sooner I could have taken it when I was out there about a week earlier.
|Mamie Kite Lee||Martha and Rebecca Kite Braswell|
I sent some information to you for these ladies that had some typos in it. Their mother, Harriet Trammel, was born in 1809 not 1890. Also, I typed the wedding date for Rebecca as 1890 and should have been 1870. I was excited to finally find out who these ladies were. I've been looking for this info. for over 20 years.
Since you created records for the majority of my family, I just wanted to let you know that all the changes I've sent/or will send were found on typically at least 3 census records plus family records that were passed down to me. Thank you for all the work you've done. Also, if I at any time did anything to make you angry, I apologize. Thank you again.

Happy to help and I just wanted to let you know that there was no marker for Lloyd's wife at this location. Fran

|Jean MC||RE: Margaret Jane McLellan Muirhead|
Beth, when I was at the cemetery in 1979, BOTH of them were present along with her mother.. the graves were covered with white gravel,.. Gresham Stranger Muirhead is her husband DOD 1878/79..
Mother's name is MariAnne Glasgow McClellan DOD 1871[?].. makes me wonder what has happened over the years as all graves were marked with concretegranite markers when I last saw them..
Now you have raised a question about the markers.. HUMM???
Margaret Jane is my great grand Aunt, my great grandfather's sister.. part of a large extended family..
family names I am working IN MS, McClellanMcLellan, Muirhead & Var, Grant, Tyler, Rowell, Glasgow, Morrow, Palmertree, MathisMathews, Scott, Harrelson, Wray, Triplett, etal; primary counties, Holmes, Attala, Sunflower, Carroll, and immediate.. also following the Trace North.. and the old wagon trails toward Alabama & Georgia.. as YOU can see MS is a critical state for my research.. do any of these ring a bell with your research??

Thank you for posting
Beth, this lady is my great-grand Aunt, my Great Grandfather's oldest sister.. when you took these pics, did you get Gus' which is supposed to be next to her??
I Have a lots of relatives in Holmes and Attala Counties spreading to the surrounding counties and in the case of grandpa James, he moved to AR in order to take up land.. she had I believe 9 children total.. moved to Arkansas for about 20 years after her husband died in 1879,.. they settled in the area of Pigeon Roost Mountain between Morrilton and Adkins, AR
When they came back to MS about 1900, they loaded everything they could on flat-bottom rafts, then floated down the Arkansas to the Mississippi River. putting in between Greenville and Vicksburg
She was one of 9 children and I believe she is named after her maternal grandmother Margaret Jane Morrow Glasgow, daughter of Thomas Morrow who support the Cherokee in their fight against removal..
She was born in ABBEVILLE DISTRICT [not County] it was probably on the Glasgow homestead which is south of present day Abbeville, SC
there is only a couple of her brothers I have not been able to track,.. but they will show up.. Between myself and a couple of my Muirhead cousins, we are trying to update Henry Muirhead's book and correct some misinformation he published.. feel like I might be over whelming you with info so if you want more, just holler..
James Samuel McClellan

|Mamie Kite Lee||Larkin Marion Raburn|
I just put in a request to add Larkin as James Rabun's father. I know the names are spelled differently, but it is correct. The Rabun's also used the spelling Raburn. In earlier generations they even used Raiborne, Rabon, Reyburne, Rayborn, Reyburn, Reburn, Rabourn, Rayburn, etc. They are some of my great grandfather's, so I have family genealogy information that was given to me about them. Thanks for the addition.
|Paula Boutwell Kerr||James Riley McQuary|
Could you please transfer to me the memorial for James Riley McQuary #40875703. He is my husband's grandfather. Thank you.
