RE: Gladys Sisson Brooks
Hi Beth,

I'm not sure if I ever answered your email or not, but I'm not certain about my Aunt Gladys Brooks, but I will find out this weekend. I have a relative's funeral to attend. If I replied to your message, did I ask you about my Great-Grandfather, Leon Quintero? He's buried next to my great-grandmother, I believe. His grave is the closest to the highway. He does have a tombstone. I just updated my email.

I can print from MS Word or Wordperfect. I just want a list of those persons I have entered on "find-a-grave".

RE: 40734605
Hi Beth,

I have John Jack Ray's marriage to Nancy Elizabeth McKnight being in 1828 in Alabama, but it is unsourced. I show a daughter born to them in 1829 named Delilah. Delilah (and thus John Jack) is from a different branch of the Ray's than my branch. She connects to mine through her marriage to Elisha Ray in 1844. Elisha was an older brother to my gggf Peter, them being the sons of James Ray, a noted early settler of Choctaw County.

Given they are all buried in the Salem Church cemetery, I wouldn't be surprised if the two branches were related by more than just marriage, but there's no proof of that (yet).

Someday I'll get around to researching John Jack and his wife Nancy because my maternal grqndmother's maiden name was McKnight. It would be interesting to see if she descends from Nancy!
