George F Bird was married to Arlene (Bowers) Bird. She is still alive. Judith Carol was their oldest child. She was married to Mike Carr when she died in an auto accident. She has one sister and three brothers surviving.
|kslissa||Abel P Shields|
I put in a photo request for a Abel P Shields or A P Shields. You have this person listed in New South Park Cemetery. I just spoke to someone up there that said that cemetery didn't open until 1963. Abel P Shields died in 1914 so he must be in old South Park Cemetery. Would you consider transferring that submission to me as he is a distance ancestor of mine. Thanks, Melissa

Everett Baker service Tuesday
Everett Baker, 65-year-old resident of R. R. 3, died Saturday evening at 7 o'clock in Morgan County Hospital. In failing health for the last 10 years, he had been hospitalized one week.
His funeral service, which will be conducted by the Rev. Virgil Baugh, has been set for Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Cure and Hensley Chapel. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home at any time.
Mr. Baker, who was born Sept. 17, 1897, in Morgan County, spent his entire life here. He was a farmer and for 12 years had been an employee of the Morgan County Highway Department. When motor routes were first established for the Daily Reporter and Indianapolis News, Mr. Baker was one of the first carriers and continued the delivery for several years. He was the son of Henry and Jeanette Thacker Baker.
He leaves his wife, the former Rose Moran; a son and two daughters, Ivan Baker and Mrs. Lillian Chandler of Indianapolis and Mrs. Mabel Goss of Martinsville, and two sisters and two brothers. They are Mrs. Jess Sullivan, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Rose Fisher, Shelbyville; Jake Baker, Hot Springs, Ark., and Ralph Baker in Mississippi.
He also leaves nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Another daughter died a few years ago.
