Bio and Links
Bio Photo This is me MANY years ago. (Where has all the time gone?) I love family history and have met many new cousins in my investigations.

The lines I am doing the most work on are Carpenter, Moorman, Dunlap, Minafore, Frazier, Morman, and Caffey. My lines center in Mississippi and then scatter worldwide.

My Minafore line includes mafia from Cicily that settled in New Orleans.

I have a copy of the newspaper article that had his death on the front page (dated July 1872) and reads that they were glad to be rid of him! The article also included that he had killed at least 15 people and was heard to say that others would die!! Talk about skeletons in my closet....

Ok, that is all for now. Everyone keep up the good work. A failed hip surgery keeps me at home. I will help in anyway possible.

Ed Robertson
Hey Linda,

Do you know anything about this Ed Robertson: http://bit.ly/2cV3D5X

Looking at the 1900 census, I wonder if he and Anna Roach Robertson were the parents of my great grandmother Lela May Robertson Malone. I see a Lela on that Census with an Ed and Anna, and then in 1910 Ed is with a Sarah E. with Lela May and William J. Robertson. The ages work out with Ed and Lela also. I wonder if either Anna died or there was a divorce between 1900 and 1910, or if these are two different families?
Thanks, Daniel

RE: Robert Durr
I have no idea on Patricia. The two wife names are the only ones his sister Iris has given to me.

Robert Lee Frazier dates
Hello, Linda. I am a Frazier with roots in Duck Hill, MS; and my aunt (Mary Frazier) was married to a Minafore. I'm doing research and trying to sort out dates for Robert Lee Frazier (my great-great grandfather). The September 9, 1882 death date shown on his page here does not agree with the date on the tombstone (4/6/85). Do you have information indicating he died not in 1885 but in 1882? Any help greatly appreciated. Many thanks to you. Jan Frazier

Gravestone Photo Permission
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Mildred Alford in Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery (Memorial# 37719625).

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Mississippi Obituaries, where her obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/obit.html.

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Linda [or your full name if you prefer]

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

Earl K. Carpenter #97313610
Hi Linda,
I am NOT related to either this Carpenter family or the Carter family (Bess Marie Carter born 10/18/1925 & died 6/26/2012 Find A Grave #94182245) to which Earl K. Carpenter is linked as a spouse.***By chance I saw this mistake in linkage.***Sent public e-mail to Linda Cancilla (Contributor #47250781) on 1/23/15 advising she has confused the Mother-in-law Bessie "Bess" Marie Carter (#94182245)as stated in Mr. Carpenter's obituary on his Find A Grave memorial you created with Mr. Carpenter's wife, Rosemary, for whom I did not find an obituary.***Just wanted to apprise you and perhaps you will want to contact Ms. Cancilla and follow-up on correcting this error.
Best Regards,
Mary (Contributor #47792069)

You are welcome Linda. I happen to be riding down that street, saw the cemetery and of course stopped. I saw your request from the F.A.G. App.
Take care and happy hunting!

My Great Grandfather
Hi Linda, After 3 years and you helping to find some orphanage records I found my Great Grandfather's Mississippi family! It took a little luck and want to tell you that it makes me sad that it turns out my Great Grandfather was an orphan like my Grandfather. I had an odd feeling about this all along. I met a woman looking for his family too she is his Great Great Granddaughter and a couple of weeks ago emailed me a link to records she found on him being a Ward of the court in Lowndes, Mississippi. You may remember my Grandfather was in an orphanage in New Orleans. Well even if you do not remember thanks for being one of the many people who have helped me out on this journey. My puzzle is now complete and I can go on and write my Family History. Clarissa
