|I have a strong interest in genealogy, both my own and others, and history in general.|
Also, I have come to believe that the documentation created here is an historical record, ultimately of value to future researchers.
Therefore, it is extremely important to be accurate and to include as much verified information as possible, including the correct dates and places of birth of those whom we post to cemeteries.
Linking family members - besides indicating familial relationships - shows the patterns of migration and where families settled in different areas.
It is important to post individuals to the correct cemetery, rather than just creating lists of dead people in order to generate enormous numbers credited to our names.

Thank you so much for helping untangle this. I was just over-thinking it and that was slowing me way down. I did find Gideon and Almy Paull as her parents; thank you for clearing up the Auntie Hulda mystery! This is so fascinating to me! I have the sweetest photo of Peddy that I will put up on my tree in Ancestry.com. It is a public tree that I am working very diligently to fill out and correct! Manning-French. Thanks again!

Cynthia, I admire all your work for Find-A-Grave! Great job.
I'm hoping you can help me find the parents of Miss Peddy S Haskins, who married Enos Pierce somewhat late in life. They had a son, John, who died at age 11. The three of them are buried in Lang Cemetery in Lakeville. Teddy and Enos took in my grandmother when she was orphaned, and they raised her in a lovely farm setting, first in Beech wood, and then in Berkley, when miss Peddy's daughter, Amy S(taples) Haskins, married Edwin Allen, of Berkley.
I have been trying to untangle the Haskins-Staples ball of twine to no end! Aunt Peddy was a strict Puritan and she knew how to grow everything, according to my grandma. Could she be the daughter of Ebenezer? Perhaps she was already a widow when she married Enos? Also, one of my older cousins wrote "Aunt Huldie" on the back of a photo of Peddy. Could she have changed her name?
I found Amy S Haskins in the Staples Street Burying Ground in Lakeville, but what happened to her husband? Maybe that's not her ??
If you think you can shed any light on this, I have other details and dates that would be too much to include here.
Thank you for kindly considering my question!
my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.

The person who maintains a memorial can still put in a request to Find A Grave to remove a memorial even if he/she didn't create the memorial. You hit the delete button near the upper right of the memorial and answer a few questions. The request is then processed by Find A Grave.
In the note I sent to them, I also mentioned that East Oasis Cemetery should be removed from Find A Grave so that nobody else accidently creates a memorial in it.
I completed the request to remove and will watch to make sure it is processed.
Thanks, Cynthia, for the transfer.

Would you please translate the inscription on his marker. It is very hard to read in the photo.

No Cynthia this is the only info I have. His mother was Elizabeth Condy if you want to add that to his bio. But I haven't located her yet. And you don't need to transfer. My only relationship is from an ancestor who married into the Russell family. Thanks for your updates.
