Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an avid genealogist and have been researching my family and my husband's family for 35+ years. We have traveled quite a bit to find ways around my "brick walls" and have been to lots of cemeteries and taken lots of pictures. I'm glad to have a chance to share some of this information on Find A Grave. My husband, Jim, deserves credit for all of the pictures as he patiently visits cemetery after cemetery with me.

PLEASE if you find an error or have additional information on any of the people I have posted, email me. I will be glad to make additions and corrections so that the information is as accurate as possible.

I am doing Find A Grave work to honor our ancestors and, hopefully, to help others find information on their own ancestors. The pictures that we have taken may be used by families and descendants. However, pictures taken for 19th and 20th Indiana soldiers have been taken for the 19th Indiana web site of Phil Harris and may NOT be posted on other web sites without my permission.

Thanks to all of you who have posted information and photos on Find A Grave. This is a great way to preserve information, and in doing so, preserve our past.

I found this letter in the bio of Bobby Jett and had to add it to my bio as well. Genealogists do indeed feel this connection.

"Dear Ancestor"

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Regarding the Dustin family.....
Thank you for your edits. All have been accepted and I have acknowledged you as the source. As to the death notice for Alice Dustin King; I read the notice you have placed at her other site. With your permission, I would rather copy it to my contributed site and NOT utilize the photo.

Again, my sincere appreciation for your interest, input, dedication, and determination.

George Anderson (-1930)
I believe I found his obituary in The Franklin Evening Star (Franklin, Indiana), dtd 20 Mar 1930, Thu, page 7

I noticed his memorial already had info from Brown County but I thought I would see if you wanted me to forward the obituary to you since he is your husband's 2nd great-grandfather. My email is If you would like a copy, please just send me your email address.

thank you!

Joshua Owen Mitchell 31-8-1879
Thought my husband might be a descendant now I'm not so sure. Some members have added Orrin Mitchell 1862 - 1912 m. Harriet Beardsley as Joshua and Sarah's son. However the individual Owen Gilbert Mitchell 1862 - 1937 m. Florence seems to have better documentation. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I posted Roxy and husband Levi. There are four other markers on this plot, Arnold & Margaret Young and Elizabeth Barnes. You may want to link if aware of their relationships.
Thank you,

RE: Caroline Marcotte
Hello J&D,

I was quite surprised to find out her maiden name was also Marcotte. They were second cousins according to the Marcotte lineage chart at the following website:

Thank you for checking,

I received your edit to change the middle name to Unknown. I am questioning this since the headstone says the middle name is S. Are you sure the middle name is unknown?
