Bio and Links

I've been researching my Doyle-Larson heritage for over a decade. My roots go deep in Gibson County, Indiana (where I was born). My mother's family is connected to the earliest pioneers of that county, including Robb, Beasley, Mills, Cunningham, Decker, Anthis and Barekman families. My father's family came from County Donegal Ireland to PA, OH and IN. His mother had deep roots in Vincennes and LaPorte, Indiana. My focus, however, has been my mom's side of the family. If you have relatives in Princeton, Patoka or Francisco, I'm probably somehow related. Leave a message to say hi or let me know how we're related. Thanks!

A quick note on the Mills family. They came to the Northwest Territory, settling near Princeton, before Indiana was a state. As Indiana's bicentennial approaches in 2016, I'm preparing a booklet on the Mills family's more than 200-year history in that state. If you are connected to the James Mills family that travelled from Maine to Indiana (NW Territory) about 1811, then I definitely want to hear from you!

RE: Ruby Chamberlain Granberry

I am sorry I don't have any other information for the Chamberlains. One more bit of information on Ruby that may find useful, Richard Clanton Granberry was a student at Ole Miss in Oxford, MS. I've just discovered this info this morning. Dorothy was born in Oxford in 1907, and I believe her mother may have died there (child birth or complications from the birth) and been buried in Illinois. Just FYI.

Hello Chris,

I'm a Granberry researching my family and I found your memorial for Ruby. She was married to Richard Clanton Granberry and they had a daughter, Dorothy, born in 1907 in Mississippi. Dorothy's memorial is #136912136. Richard's grandfather died in 1907 in Mississippi, perhaps they were in Mississippi when Dorothy was born because of him. I've been researching, chasing is perhaps a better description, Richard Clanton Granberry for quite a while, but have not found his burial location. It is my belief that he died in Fairfax County, Virginia (he worked for U.S. Government in Washington D.C. for many years)and lived in Springfield.
I am linking Dorothy to her mother, perhaps your are interested in her ancestors.

Leave me a public message if you have questions or just to let me know if you have further interest in the Granberrys.

Have a good day

RE: Dr. Dusenbury's Wife
Hi Chris - No, my dad's first wife was Margaret Winifred Loesch, who I believe was originally from the Chicago area. They divorced in 1956. Both married again and were with their second spouses until their deaths. I'm not sure when Winifred died, but I believe it was in Florida where she'd live for many decades. And I can personally vouch that she was alive and well in 1994.
