Photos: All gravestone photos posted under this account are copyrighted by me. Please receive permission before posting my photos to another site. Attribution to the photographer and/or Find A Grave is REQUIRED. I say this because I provide these pictures to you free and I want them to remain free. Some sites will steal these photos or charge people for them. I fight to keep that from happening and may issue take-down notices to any site that I find with my photos not attributed to me or Find-A-Grave, including Ancestry.com. I spend my time and money to help you find your family, I'm not interested in other people making money off me helping you.|
Most of my photos are geotagged. Remember, GPS isn't exact, but it sure can be helpful to locate a stone.
If I've been helpful in your search, I'd love to hear about it. Drop me a line and let me know who you found.
If you have connections to Decatur county, IN, please consider submitting something to the Decatur County INGen Web. It's another free site (that I pay to provide) that depends on user contributions.
Corrections: Even though FindAGrave is a grave registration site, not a genealogy site, I love to add information, fix errors and make family links, so please feel free to send them to me via the Suggest A Correction button.
Feel free to add your photos to all memorials. Your name and link to your profile will appear with the photo.
Transfers: If I have prepared a memorial for your family member and you would like it transferred to you, please use the Suggest a Correction Link located in the upper right hand corner of each memorial. In your message, please state your relationship to the deceased. I use the FindAGrave transfer guidelines as a starting point for transfers, but often grant transfers outside of those guidelines. Telling me you are "related" and "you have information to add" probably won't get a transfer. You'll have the greatest chance of getting an 'out of guidelines transfer' if you tell me something interesting about the person or your family's connection to southern Indiana.

Hello Traci. Conley and Dorothy are my fathers parents. Would you be willing to transfer them to me? My grfather was an interesting person. He was a Mason, ran a grocery store in Seymour, he was a ticket agent for the railroad there, and later he was the manager for the old Stardust Drive-in Theatre. He was raised on a farm in Reddingtown, Seymour. My grandmother liked having the ladies over for tea when she wasn't baking bread to feed the livestock on their farm. My father is buried next to them as well as an unmarked grave for their infant daughter Harriet. I am new with Find A Grave and am trying to pull the family together. Thank you.

Thanks for the posting on Priscilla Vance. I notice you have a June death date listed, but tombstone and SS Death Index both say
December, maybe just a typo? Is the photo of Priscilla; it looks more 1890. She is my son-in-law's mother and I'm working on his genealogy for him, with his support. Love to include it, if she. Carolyn Blount, Seattle

Thank you so much for fulfilling the photo request for Agatha I Chitty

Thank you for photographing the gravestone plot of Mary Berry Alford in Garland Brook Cemetery (Memorial# 27603909). I appreciate knowing that there is no grave marker.
I am also happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Edna Alford Stiles in the same cemetery (Memorial# 64866114).
I would like to add Edna's gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Indiana Obituaries, where her obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/INOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Traci [or your full name if you prefer]
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!
