|Jessica Colella-Shake||Common Relative?|
Trying to get back into some genealogy research and I'm having trouble confirming a common relative of ours. She was my 2nd great grandmother, Harriet Manning Reeder. I have that she married Solomon Lee Clarke, was born about 1881 in Charleston, died in Charleston as well, and had four children: Lee Jr., Ernest (my great grandfather), Hazel, and Hattie. Why I believe Harriet was the daughter of Alice Huggins and Ernest Reeder is because of the reuse of these family names (Hazel and Ernest). I think it would be too much of a coincidence otherwise.
However, for some reason, I cannot find mention of her being the eldest daughter of Ernest and Alice. Harriet (often called Hattie as well) would have been 11 when her Mother died (at the time her youngest sibling, Alice Jr., was born). I'm wondering maybe it's because she was probably buried in the same cemetery as Solomon, her husband? (Another anomaly, I know where Solomon's parents were buried, but cannot find the resting place of either him or Hattie.)
Did you perhaps ever hear mention of another child of Ernest Manning Reeder and Alice Gertrude Huggins? A Harriet M. Reeder, who would have been born around 1881? I'm just curious and want to try to confirm that she was truly their daughter, so anything you might have heard of her would be helpful! Thank you and take care.
|Linda Nichols||their are two Samuel Cooper Godwin's?|
at the Cameron Cemetery you have two Samuel Cooper Godwin's #69689309 and 69690713. I would like to attach the Wife Rebecca Lucinda Cameron #69690887. I am hoping you will delete one of the Samuel Cooper Godwin's and attach his wife for me.
Thank You, Linda Nichols

|Jim Roper||Deborah Jean McClary|
Thank you for your work in keeping this site up for all to use for research.
You have Deborah Jean McClary as the daughter of her grandfather. She should be shown as the daugher of James Weldon McClary, Jr. and not Sr.
