I am retired and have been researching family for 30 years and actively for 20. My interests in Georgia include Carter, Lovett, Brinson and Moore and in Iowa, Johnson, Reid, Mattson and Fairgrave and of course all of their ancestors.|

Hi Tom, I live near Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa. I have been working on taking as many photos of graves without photos currently as possible.
Can I ask a couple general questions concerning Albert?
1. Are you sure he is buried in Jordan
Looking at the current headstone with just
Lucina's name and dates, but room for
another entry...and based on info I got
from the city of West Des Moines (that the
headstone of Lucina straddles 2 grave
spaces) but they aren't sure about the 2nd
2. Are you sure about Albert's dates (birth
and death)?...look on this page and you
will see Lucina (which dates match her Find A Grave
memorial) but Albert's do not...
Thanks for your help on this.

Thank you for the picture of Joseph T Carter. I am looking for my great, great grand parents. Would you have burial records for this cemetery? I have found all of their children, but no luck in finding them. Elizabeth Fox Carter is their daughter.... She is buried there. Thomas Lawrence and Mary Ellen Parkerson Fox. Thomas died Dec 12, 1889.... I'm sure in Lowndes County Ga. Thank you for your reply! Terry

Would you by any chance have this book? It's not online so I plan on driving to Walterboro to the library to do some research. Does it have pictures of tombstones? There's so many graves that I can't find anything on in this cemetery. For instance Thomas Jackson, Angus Hiers, etc. Also, can you tell me what year it was published & the author. I've found 3 different books under this name. Thanks so much for your help. I've got the 4 pages of errors down to 1&1/2 so I am making progress. Planning on driving over there after Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving, Wimsang

I'm so sorry about missing the news of your aunt! Edgar Kuhlmann is a distant cousin of mine, so I have done a lot with that family. I transferred the page to you. Take good care! beth ><>

I just wanted to let you know that I issued an edit for this memorial to change the last name to Simmons. If you'll check out the picture I posted you'll see that the lot is Simmons. Jones is her maiden name. I couldn't find an obit or death cert. for her, but I did for the husband Thomas Jackson Simmons, Sr. For some reason the last name was omitted just for these 2 graves. Thanks,Wimsang

I received your request for spousal link. I have a quick question. I noticed that there is 58 years difference in their age. Is this correct. Just checking.

I transfer according to Find A Grave. That would be direct relatives within four generations.Non direct are not required to be transferred(aunt). I have had so much trouble with this transfer business I had to try to put a end to it somehow.
