|Mike & Doris||Agin Family?|
Recently visited Williamsburg Cemetery, Williamsburg, OH (Clermont County). Not there to do findagrave work but couldn't help myself and captured several pictures. One picture has Alice, Lyde, Margaret, and Sarah on tall stone in that order from top to bottom. Appears to match Agin family members. Want me to send the picture I captured or add it to memorials? I did not capture last name. Doris and Mike Sponsler
|Barry Michie||RE: John Russell Shadow|
First, no I've never hugged a giraffe but it's now on my bucket list.
John Shadow's bio came together quite quickly once I found the newpaper article and the record requesting the military grave marker - those always have the unit in which a veteran served. Fold3 was a total bust. It isn't even clear if his body was ever recovered and repatriated. So many of the aircrews who perished still lie undiscovered in unknown parts of the jungles and hills of Assam and Burma. I've spent about 9 years in India but have not been to Assam, so this one had a special affinity for me.
|Barry Michie||John Russell Shadow|
Thanks much for transferring the memorial for John Russell Shadow. I've found quite a bit of information about his service and also newspaper articles about his death and a photo. The China-Burma-India theater was one of the nastiest in the "Pacific War" and flying "The Hump" was one of the memorable air campaigns to supply the troops. He evidently was a member of an air crew that went down - one among many and many never found. Hope you can take a look at the memorial I developed # 50886568
|Barry Michie||Edward L Shadow|
Thanks much for transferring the memorial for Edward L. Shadow. Much appreciated. I've made the edits and he's now linked to his father (haven't found his mother yet).
Next time I hug a giraffe I'll think of you, OK?
|Renee Ellis||Ollie Ferree Transfer|
Thank you so much for transferring Ollie's memorial to my care. I will continue to try and reconnect her with her family (Ferree, Warden & Day). Her memorial will be well taken care of.
