I am a mother to two girls and wife to a most wonderful husband. In my glimpses of free time, I love to research my family tree. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to touch my family tree in a couple years now. |
In the past year, I have received numerous requests to change information for some of the records I have uploaded. Sorry, but it probably isn't going to happen. Make a new entry if you want a record to be perfect. Not trying to be bitchy, I just don't have the time for people to nit-pick. I've uploaded hundreds of records for people I have absolutely no connection to as a courtesy to others who may be looking for a lead in family research. Please consider the enormous amount of time I've spent walking cemeteries taking photos and uploading info before you ask me to enter information that is available in the photo I added. Seriously, the obnoxious requests make me want to not do this anymore.

I have several Smith relatives buried in Nelson Cemetery in Nelson, PA. I see you have a few buried there as well. I was wondering If you could shed a little light on your Smith's.

You can link Frederick Melvin Byrn #14397389 to his mother Pauline Cortheye Woolery Byrn/Watson #116846007 and his father James David Byrn #108264560. I have created those memorials for my grand parents.

I am a Tioga County helper.. resident with no relatives. I look for graves of veterans and their families, build biographies, upload pictures, etc. While looking for veteran Campbells, I recalled the Campbell line in northern part of county. While visiting Nelson scouting out the Campbells there, I noticed Dollie Campbell is accidently entered twice. I spent some volunteer time helping you expand your biography on Dollie, getting names and date updates, and sent the grave back to you. That way when FindAGraves gets around to cleaning up duplicates, they will keep yours with the all the extra information.
Speaking of Dollie, I noticed doing some more looking around that I misspelled her last maiden name. Was listed as "Bottom" in census, but in Nelson stones, it is spelled "Bottum", so please fix that and you can link to her parents.
I will be happy to help you add information to any graves in Nelson since you said you are busy with other searches. I have been helping a friend who has many relatives in Nelson Cemetery. Transfer, I will add stuff, and transfer back to you.
I wish I knew more about the person in your inquiry.. but with time.. mysteries get uncovered through collaboration.

I found out you were my 3rd cousin around New Years this year when I was "introduced" to Stephen Miller as my great-great grandfather; I had not gone that far back in the genealogy. I was also quite shocked to learn how he died. My father probably knew, but I don't remember him telling us. When I saw you wrote "for my great-great grandpa," I calculated how we were related. I found you on another site, maybe ancestry.com, and sent you an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your posting on that site was very old, though, so I knew there was a possibility you did not receive the email, or that you thought I was a stalker claiming to be related to you! :) But I did save the sent email in hopes you would connect with me one day. It has some pictures attached, and I can forward it to your correct email. My email is email@example.com.

I have my 3rd great grandparents, John C and Sarah Pollock, buried there. I was hoping you could transfer their memorials to me. Thank you! Lisa

I see that you have requested photographs from the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro, New York. I have been to that cemetery a few times and I'd like to make a suggestion. Mt. Olivet is VERY large. In order to help volunteers locate the memorials you request, you might first either call the cemetery office or, if you have a lot of names, write to them and ask if they could give you the section, lot and grave number(s). That will narrow down to search. Without that information the volunteer could be searching forever and never find the correct spot.

Hope this helps.
I don't mean to but in but write me an email at the private yahoo email on my page. I could go on and on with stories about the dis-service that Pam does for our heroes. Looking forward to hearing from you.
