This photo was taken in 1968 as a high school student working on a tiny graveyard restoration project. My family genealogy has been an intense 11+ year study and has led me back to circa 1755 London. Many folks have been kind enough to assist me in the tedious but rewarding research project. Contributing to Find-A-Grave is my way of giving back and paying forward.|
I believe that a memorial belongs with the family and loved ones to cherish and maintain. My mission is to be cooperative with others doing research and I am more than willing to transfer memorials I have created. Happy hunting...
"I think most people can do a whole awful lot more if they just try, ... They just don't have the confidence that they can write a novel or they can write poetry or they can take pictures or paint or whatever, and so they don't do it, and they leave the planet dissatisfied with themselves."

|Barbara Schwartz||RE: Homan family|
Thank you for the invitation. I am also on Ancestry.com.
What is the name of your tree?
My contact with the Homan family is my husbands
cousin, Ann Homan and her husband Edward Canfield Homan, Jr. I just finished a mini Homan tree for her.
I'll take a look at your tree and compare. I'll give you her info. if it differs.
Thank again, Barb

I found the names of the boys on another family photo.
I am doing a mini tree for a cousin of my husband.
She is married to a Homan.
I'll ask her if she knows you.
You have done a great job on your gravesite on FindAGrave.
Thanks so much for the updates!~Laura.

|Margaret C Cowles||hello old friend|
How willing are you to accept some more memorials of mine? I trying to find "homes" for my Virginia memorials.
As you can see I'm in Indiana now and only working on my own family. Gave myself a Christmas present...back on Ancestry.com as a paying member again after over 2 years off of it.
Let me know.
Have a blessed Christmas and a good New Year.

Information added. Thank You!
Could you please tell me if you are related to the Dance's that you entered. Also do you know if they are black or white or mixed? My Dance relatives released about 2000 slaves and gave them all their last name with their freedom papers. I think most of the Dance's in Virginia are related in some way.
Thank you for your help,

Louise, thanks so much for the memorial of my Dad, William C. West, (Claude) He was the father of 3 girls, June, Shirley, and Bonnie. I live 800 miles from there so I don't get to the cemetery very often. It has been several years since I was there. He is buried there with his parents and one of his brothers.
If you need to know anything that I can help you with let me know.
Bonnie West Lukefahr
