Hi Judy, The remains found which isnt much are being buried at East Hill Cemetery in Salem. I also found names from death records of others buried in the cemetery,

Dooley-Blankenship cemetery
Hi, Just wanted to let you know that the Dooley-Blankenship cemetery in Salem VA is being moved by VDOT for a Park and Ride. They have already been excavated

Hi Judy!
Just a follow up re Opal. You were absolutely right. Hubby and I made a trip to VA/NC a while back, and tried to find her. We searched and searched, with no luck. Finally we were in Pedigo Cemetery, paying our respects to another relative, and met a couple there. After a brief conversation it came to light that the wife worked in a nursing home in VA that Opal lives in!!! It is indeed a small world! Thought you might like to know.
