I am helping my mother with her genealogy research by locating our ancestors' graves. Then, I got involved with several friends, helping them create their trees and memorials. You can see the names we are following in my virtual cemeteries. Along the way, I have found others' ancestors and created their pages. Now I have documented our ancestry to Col. Daniel Boone which was very interesting. And, finding the "Women of the American Revolution." Next trying to break down several "brick walls."

If I have entered any information that is incorrect, please contact me for a correction. I want to keep the information as accurate as possible.

I'm happy to transfer management to family members, just ask! Please use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so and remember to give your member# along with your relationship or reason for the transfer.

I believe that memorials should belong to family members whenever possible, as family have a personal interest in honoring their relatives and are better able to complete, maintain and improve memorials with additional details and research. I am more than willing to have family members "adopt" them.

Please feel free to use any photos I have posted in your research work. Photo courtesy of Find-a-grave member #47361005

Made corrections as I could. I found his mother
in the cemetery and provided the link. In the future please use the edit tab on the memorial to suggest changes or corrections. It makes things a whole lot
easier for the manger of the memorial

RE: Anne Ordway memorial #6879080
Hi Anne,

The first gravestone, the original one for Ann Emery Ordway, is at First Parish Burying Ground, Newbury, MA. The two pictures that reads In Memory of James Ordway born 1618 and his wife Ann Emery were taken at the First Burying Ground Newbury, MA.

Ann Emery Ordway's original grave marker is suppose to be the oldest, still standing marker in Newpury, MA.

Technically, the second and third pictures should be on your post:
Burial:
First Burying Ground
Newbury
Essex County
Massachusetts, USA

That first picture was taken at:
First Parish Burying Ground
Newbury
Essex County
Massachusetts, USA

Hopefully, this clears up the confusion.

Always,

RE: Ann Ordway
Okay . . . Thanks for letting me know this information. So are you saying that there will be 2 memorials for the same person, because they are in different cemeteries? Where are her remains actually buried? That may have been on the other memorial, but I don't remember seeing that. Plus, I thought the one type of memorial, if set up correctly, did not allow any relationship links. That may also be the problem. Thanks again and sorry for your extra work.

RE: WOW! Thank you
Hi -- I'm really glad you like the photos and that you found other family members. I expect to be down there again sometime in the next week or so, and I'll get Henry Knieper for you.

George Burch, Sr. # 5137053
Hi, I am a ggg-granddaughter of Rev. George Burch, Sr. and Martha Beasley. I see a few errors on his memorial. Can you tell me where his information was obtained? His mother, Mary Ann Lawrence, is listed as being either a Lawrence or Beasley. She was a Lawrence. His wife, Martha was a Beasley, not a Lawrence. I have never seen the nickname "Mourning Moura" for Martha Beasley, do you know where that was found? My records show that his parents were William Henry Burch, Sr. and Mary Ann Lawrence. According to Find-A-Grave, his brother, William Henry Burch, Jr. had a wife called Mourning Mary Harris. I wonder if this is where the confusion has come from.

Thank you for your work with these memorials!

Corrections to memorials
Hi, Please use the edit/ correction button on the memorial to send updates to the contributors, rather than sending several emails for one memorial. It makes it easier and faster for us to make the changes. Thank you.

No, I am not on Ancestry. I am related through a cousin who married Fielding Sappington (1804-1875). Her name was Anna Cahill (1809-1885) and she is the sister of my 4th great grandfather, Samuel Cahill, Sr. Anna & Fielding had several grandchildren and great grandchildren who were quite accomplished, which you probably know already. I tried to send some "edits" for those relative, but was unable because you had some of your own that were pending. Sometimes it seems to take a while for the edits to be checked.
