I have been investigating my family history since 1985, when my mom's uncle shared photos of my 3great, 2great, & great grandparents. Dad & I spent his 50th birthday visiting his cousins in Montana and Canada, where everyone shared, though each told us the others wouldn't. I have had the luck to find other family members also interested in genealogy; now I have over 40 albums filled with photos, documents, letters, etc. I follow collateral lines way too far, but have connected with many cousins because of this. I've done my share of cemetery exploration and LOVE the ideas behind this site.

Hi,
I saw that you left some nice virtual flowers on my GGrandparents graves, Charles Madison Chase and his wife Ida May (Haskins) Chase. They are both buried in the Oakland Memorial Cemetery in Clarksville. Since you said you went way far out in the Cousin territory, I was wondering if you're related since you left flowers. Anyway, if you are related, drop me a line and let me know how.

Minnie Robinson
I hope you may be able to help me with this family. My great grandmother is Minnie Clara Robinson b.1881 in Alexandria MN and d. 1949 in Coeur d’Alene, ID. She was born well after other children of Daniel Robinson and Francema Walker. Minnie’s death certificate shows Francema as her mother but it shows father as “unknown”. Unfortunately, Minnie was born after the 1880 census and the 1890 census was lost in a fire. In 1900 she was already married. Do you have any information about Minnie?

Thank you!

RE: Drew Scribner
Oh, ok then no. His 3rd wife was my mother, a much younger woman. His daughter Judy was my half sister. She passed awat about 25 years ago from pancreatic cancer. I remember her telling me once when I was a child that her mother was some how related to Clark Gable. Maybe through marriage. I can't quite remember.

Drew Scribner
Just wondering if we are related. Drww Scribner was my father. He was much older than my mother and died when I was 7. Thanks so much, LeaAnn

Jane Charls
George Charls
Hi, Linda.

Yes, there absolutely is! George and Violet were brother and sister who never married and lived on the 'home place'. They were my grandfather's siblings. Mildred was raised by them and I met her on a couple of occasions. I have always wondered if she had photos of Aunt Violet and Uncle George. Few exist.

Thank you for contacting me - I have often thought of Mildred since she passed.

Hi Linda,
I was trying to figure out who you are and why you would have put flowers on my father's find a grave site. I think I have it figured out now, the last name Morice was my great great grandmothers sister's married name... My gg grandmother was Anna Allen married to Hamilton Stirrett. Have I got this right... The sister I think was Barbara ????

RE: Cousins
I just finished writing a note to you (I think) regarding the change, with lots of questions. You make it sound simple from your side of the family. I have way too many Hiram's and Cassius's. :-)

Nice to meet you Cousin. I can not believe all of the family members I have met on Ancestry and Find a Grave. Just a few weeks ago, I recevied an email from a woman who was the sister of my uncle. The strange part about that was.... my uncle was adopted. Our family never knew this, and her family had been searching for him for almost 90 yrs. She found him on Find a Grave and wrote me. Sadly, he had died at age 14, and his "birth" brothers and sisters never knew. Even sadder, my mother never knew her brother was adopted. All are deceased now, but this "birth" niece continued the search for her "lost" uncle. And we found each other.

Such stories amaze me and so I would love to have a copy of the letter you speak of. Thanks for contacting me.

re Walker family
Hi! Hope this finds you well. I have taken the liberty of transferring Henry and Leata to you.

You may already know this, but Ancestry has recently made available PA death certificates from the years 1906 to 1944. Since some of the information was not available at the time I created her memorial (such as exact date of birth) I added that information before transferring over to you.

Even though you did not request any transfers, I feel family should be with family. I would be happy to transfer anyone else if you find other family members.

Have a great day!

Kind regards,
MrsJB
