Retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer with over 29 years of service. I am also the wife of a retired US Army soldier and the mother of a soldier who was injured in Iraq from an IED but was able to complete his tour of duty! SUPPORT THE TROOPS!!!!

After having problems with a couple of contributors, one a younger one and a real prevaricator and sucks other people into her game and one of which is an older lady and new to Findagrave (doesn't know how to communicate), I will follow the Findagrave guidelines for transferring memorials. They have spoiled it for everyone. They can't even do their family trees correct on ancestry.com and profess to know what they are doing. If you are going to talk about someone, talk to them and not behind their back!

DUE TO ANCESTRY.COM CHANGING FLOWERS ON MEMORIALS WITHOUT SUGGESTION OR WARNING-NO INFORMATION, I REPEAT NO INFORMATION, OR PICTURES I HAVE ADDED TO ANY MEMORIAL MAY BE USED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION OR REPOSTED/CROPPED IN ANY WAY AS HIS/HER OWN PHOTOS. Findagrave's OWN rules state this is copyrighted to the person who originally added it.

For those making suggestions, please research and provide the researched information for me to update. Additionally; 1: If someone has a duplicate memorial, courtesy is to ask that individual to delete it FIRST before asking Findagrave to get involved, and 2. When you receive an edit request please DO NOT update the information you received and then decline the edit you received - that is just NOT cool!

HEADSTONE PHOTO VOLUNTEERS-If you volunteer and post headstone photos, please take a photo of the COMPLETE marker. I find more and more some individuals crop the bottom of the markers off - especially on military grave sites, which does an injustice to our veterans and the photos were supposedly taken by ex-military individual(s). You took the time to take the photo, then PLEASE take the time to crop correctly.

I work hard on Findagrave and have sponsored quite a few memorials. Please be a contributor and not just a person who adds names. There are several contributors I know who have huge numbers who have not done a whole lot of research on their memorials....numbers people? It's great to see the people who do provide research.

Lyndel is my grandmother's nephew; I knew nothing of him except the old family photos I recently found. He was a Merchant Seaman. Thanks for transferring his Memorial to me.

RE: Arias Relatives
Hello Sherlock,

You are amazing! Thank you so much. I really appreciate what you have done. I'm not sure what this means. Do I have to do anything in particular to maintain their memorials? Bless you always for what you do to help others.

I have read the Bio on Laura Lee Tipton. All of your info is correct. My mother is Joan Tipton Byrd. I have info on her brother Harry Thomas Tipton and Sister Betty Tipton Ritter. Are you related?? How if so?

Thank you so much for taking the time to go to the Ft. Bliss cemetery to photography Silas and Martha Merritt's headstones! They are my great-grandparents. It's fun to know that there are other family-history junkies out there who are gracious enough to help us on our quests! Out of curiosity, was Martha's headstone separate, or is her name engraved on the back of Silas's headstone?

Thanks again!
