My name is Sheri and I am a genealogist, thus the nickname "Gen-Sher" because I like sharing my genealogy knowledge. |
Find a Grave in creating little miracles everyday by connecting the living with their ancestors, relatives and friends. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES.
By adding cemetery memorials to Find a Grave, I am trying to add correct birth and death information, including places, parents, spouse and children (and photos when possible). Sometimes the stone just has the years (i.e. 1876-1947). If I can find the birth and death dates on Ancestry, I like to add that information, too. I also try to find obituaries, then add links to other family members.
In placing obituaries on the memorials, I am attempting to provide families and researchers with additional information on the individual. Obituaries published in newspapers are in the public domain and as such, anyone can legally post an obituary and its photo. There are no copyrights unless noted in the obituary. I hope I don't offend anyone. If I do, I am sorry and will gladly delete information.
If you find mistakes on a memorial, please let me know by telling me in "Edit" on that memorial. I will gladly correct mistakes.
If you'd like to manage a memorial I posted, please let me know by asking under "Edit" on that memorial. I will transfer to any relative or friend, unless the memorial is for one of my own relatives.
I have always found cemeteries a place of serenity and meditation, away from the busyness of the everyday world. To me they are very sacred, as the lives of those buried there are sacred.
By sharing information of those who have "gone before", we are honoring their lives. Some people live and die without any fanfare. This site gives the dead their "Notice".

|Melinda B.||Sarah (Brothers) Phillips memorial|
Thank you for transferring her memorial to me so that I can link her to her Brothers family line.
|Sue Bramhall||RE: George Richardson|
Thanks. I'll keep on searching.
|Sue Bramhall||George S. Richardson|
Do you have any further info on George? My grandmother was a Sarah D. Richardson, the daughter of a George T. Richardson 1855 to 1928. His father was Thomas Richardson who died 1-18-1897 and is buried on family land along Furnace Rd., Snow Hill, MD. I feel this could be Thomas' father.

You can go ahead and delete your duplicate. I submitted the changes to Sylvia's memorial with her date and location of her death, location of birth, complete name and her obit from the newspaper. I didn't post your picture since I don't own the copyright to it so feel free to add that if you wish.

I notice that you have a memorial #90306118 for John Scarpa in the Mechanics Cemetery in Chincoteague, Virginia. There is no photo attached. Do you know if there is a stone? This is my wife's great-grandfather and I believe her great-grandmother, Mary is also buried with John. Thanks for any info you can provided.

I am working on my family tree and am trying to determine if the memorial #68161598 that you created is my 1st cousin 2X removed. The person I am looking for was born to Mary Ellen & Raymond Edgar Widerman about 1936 and named Nancy J. Widerman. A brother's (Wayne W. Widerman) obit list a Nancy Tilghman as his sister. The Widerman family was located in Baltimore County, Maryland. Do you know if this is the same person?
