I am retired with a passion for genealogy and family histories. The major family names I am researching are Mortensen; Wolfe; Mooney and Briggeman. These families cover a span from Denmark and Ireland to Illinois, Montana and Idaho. |
I am also researching my husband's families: McClary, Harter, Tasker, Donaldson and Feys.
You can find all of my family trees, research and thousands of obituaries posted at rootsweb.com. I am dedicated to the sharing of genealogy history!
My current (additional) project is photographing the graves in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Seattle, WA. I have access to the Seattle Times on-line and attempt to add obituaries with complete death dates, etc. If I have posted a member of your family and you would like a transfer or updates and links to a memorial, please use the "Edit" button on the memorial.
Life is mostly froth and bubble,
Two things stand in stone.
Kindness in another's trouble,
Courage in your own.

I have made the corrections you requested.
Ann, I noticed you created all of the memorials within Burk Cemetery, Russell County, Virginia. I have just found a listing for that cemetery created by Ed Burke in 1977. It lists several other people for this cemetery. While I am more than happy to create memorials for these individuals, I wanted to check with you regarding the validity of the list. Do you have easy access to this cemetery to know for certain there are more graves there than the four you have listed? Thanks! Roxie (email@example.com)

Ann: You're very welcome. Actually my direct ancestor is A.D. [Alfred D.] Moffitt and his wife Rebeca [Caveness] Moffitt, the parents of Isaac Newton. When my husband and I were at Lebanon Church of Christ cemetery back in April of this year, we did notice the rows of stones are confusing and I think we might have missed a few so we will be going back there in the fall to 'double check' our list of photos. We want to make sure we got every single one.
Thanks, Shirley :)

No need for a transfer, Ann, but thank you so much for the offer. Eventually, I'd like to have obituaries on all Memorials in Lakeside and Union Highland Cemeteries, and even Greenwood Cemetery, but that could be a long time coming!
