"You can prepare the mind to lose a loved one; but you can never prepare the heart..." unknown|
**If I have posted a memorial for one of your family members and you would like ownership please email me so I can transfer them to you. I would rather them be with their families...**
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

I have family letters regarding her death. This was my aunt that died as infant when she drank lye water while her mother was outside hanging laundry. Her mother Agusta Ernest watched as her toddler die as the lye burned out her throat. Her father, was my grandfather, Antone James Ernest, who is buried in South Sioux City with his second wife, Mildred Ella Ernest. HE also had a son, Bernard Lawrence killed in WW11 and is buried in North Africa in a cemetery in Tunisia. She had two half sisters, my aunt, Shirley Joyce (Ernest) Robinette, and my mother, Saundra Lee (Ernest) Crowe They are all buried in St. Micheal's Cemetary in South Sioux City, NE. How sad that there is no more information on this little girl. I can add additional information if you can link to at least her father, brother, and half sisters.

Yay! You are most welcome. So glad I was able to supply you with additional information. I always try to look around to see if any other relatives are close by the requested site.

I fulfilled your request for photos for Paul & Della Hammonds today. While taking the photos, I noticed a grave nearby for John & Artie Hammonds. Not sure if they were related, but there were no memorials, so I added the memorials and photos for them.

Thank you so much for transferring the Barrows to us. You are very kind. We are so grateful that you created these memorial pages so that we could find our family. Blessings,
|Patricia A Lozier||Bert Harris|
Is this all the info you have on Bert Harris? I have a friend hunting for info on this man as he may be the son we are searching to find. Thanks for any help you can give. Pat LOzier

Thank you. I have contacted Acousintoo too but was kind of rude to me. Perhaps I came off as rude without meaning to. If you contact acousintoo please let her know that my sources besides knowing the family are early census records.
Thank you, Karen Van Patten
