Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research for over 20 years. I started the hard way, back before the internet. It's so much easier now :) Since I have done so much research on my own line, I now enjoy helping other people with researching their own families and this website is a great tool. I enjoy not only listing memorials but linking people to their family members

If you want a grandparent transferred to you (or a direct relative) let me know. I hope you will enjoy.

Au Contraire--THANK YOU! And thank you for letting me know you've changed the photo. It might (probably) have slipped by me. Rob

Liesl Jones
Eliza Horn Crabtree
Hi Julie -

My name is Liesl Jones, and my husband is Cory Jones. I believe that Eliza Horn Crabtree is his great, great, great Grandmother. I have the line starting with Eliza Horn Crabtree, then her daughter Sarah Chestina/Chestinie/Catherine "Tiny" Crabtree Rinks, to her daughter Tiny Francis Rinks Jones, to her son William Warren Jones, to his son Robert Roy Jones, to his son Cory, my husband. I would appreciate any information you have to share with us. My email address is

Thank you!

RE: Elridges
Thank you so much for your help. It's very admirable to work two jobs to help your daughter through school. My mom is currently helping me pay for college as well.

Initially I had no idea who my mom's birth father was. She was the result of a short affair between him and my grandmother in late 1964. I don't know if he even knew he had a daughter. For whatever reasons my grandmother put her ex-husband down as my mom's father on every document, despite not seeing him for at least a year prior to my mom's birth. I am very confident that her ex-husband isn't my mom's father for a number of reasons.

Because of this I have absolutely no paper trail to go on to research my roots, so I got her DNA tested through AncestryDNA, FTDNA, and 23andme. The only close genetic matches I got were from her mom's side, so I used a process known as triangulation to try and find possible ancestors from her dad's side.

Triangulation works by first identifying three people who share a segment of DNA. That means that those people likely have a common ancestor. If you can find the shared ancestor of two of the people than that ancestor is likely also an ancestor of the third person. In this situation my mom was the third person and I was able to identify three families she likely descended from. Chandler and Bottom from Virginia and Eldridge from Tennessee. Once I did that I had to work down to where all three families came together. By sheer luck I happened upon Ben and Lucretia. Ben has the Eldridge ancestors and Lucretia has the Bottom and Chandler ancestors. On top of all of that Ben looks quite a deal like my mom. I don't believe that my mom would be descended from Ben's brother since she also has to have the relatives from Lucretia's side.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Possible Relation
Hello Julie,

To cut right to the chase, my mom was adopted and while I've found her birth mother I have yet to find her birth father. I believe that two of her great great grandparents are Lucretia and Ben Eldridge. However, from her DNA test results, it also appears that she had Irish ancestors. My mom was born in Chicago in 1965 and I know that her birth father was at least living there at the time of her conception. Due to his unique ancestry (Irish and Colonial Southern) I suspect that his father moved to Chicago, from the south, during the Southern Diaspora and met his mother who was descended from more recent Irish immigrants.

Anyway, I believe my grandfather's father to be one of Lucretia and Ben's grandchildren. Do you know of any of their grandsons who moved up north, specifically to Chicago? If not, I've been trying to build a list of descendants of Ben and Lucretia and love your help.

If you would rather correspond over e-mail I can be reached at

Thanks a bunch,

Sean McNulty

RE: Helen
It is funny! Nice meeting you, as well. I never knew your mom, I was raised in Central Texas and only met Billy when he dated a friend of mine. I knew all his brothers and sisters except Betty, who died before we met. Edna lives in Kaufman now. I talked to her today. I don't know where Ruby lives.I sent requests to the people who manage the memorials for the others siblings, so maybe the family will be 'reunited'. Thanks for your help and my best to you and your mom.

RE: Helen
I was married to Billy Pritchett for 12 years starting in 1963! His first wife was Sandra MacLean (sp.?)from Seagoville. Billy died in 2008. He was the only one linked to his parents, and there are 5 that are deceased. Thank you so much.

James Earl Breazeale and Helen Breazeale
Thanks Julie. I sent the message with the memorial #'s. I just talked to Helen's sister and she told me James Earl Breazeale was also buried in Kaufman, and he was Helen's husband at the time of her death. Treciah Breazeale was their oldest child.

Would you please link Helen to her parents Willie Mae McAnally Pritchett and Homer Bryan Pritchett? They are in the same cemetery. Thanks!
