I just accepted your edits for members of the Pumphrey family in Moreland Park. Thank you. Are the Pumphreys related to you? Would you like me to transfer the management of their memorial pages to you?

Lillian's grave has no stone, would you still like a photo?

Hi Gary, I found an obituary for George Pumphrey. He is buried in the Table Rock Cemetery in Nebraska. I'm hoping to find his parents or some kin! He was a career soldier, born in Falls Church, Virginia. Only mention of family is brothers Fred and John. This isn't a common name so maybe he's in your line! Luella

I found Benita's obit on microfilm at the library, and also her father's. All are buried at Mt. Hope, there is a large empty space where she is supposed to be I think. Other family members are buried in three other sections. Do you have more info? I haven't heard from the cemetery yet. The secretary is very helpful, but the caretaker does not like people to come in without an appointment.

I have not been able to find where Rhoda is buried. She did remarry on August 25, 1838 to a Mr. Stephen Billings. Stephen Billings died on 24 Nov 1868 in Maine but I do not know where he is buried either. The last information I have for Rhoda is the 1880 Alexander, Washington, Maine Census. She is listed as 69, widowed, relation to head of house, mother. She was living with her son Freeman Billings and neighbors with her daughter Almena Taylor.

I have been researching this William Bonney, my 3rd Great-Grandfather for awhile now. I believe his birth on the memorial is correct but I think his death should read Oct 7, 1836 for a couple of reasons.
The first reason would be if he died in 1831 he would not be the father of Almena or William as they were born in 1835 and 1836.
The Second reason is the information contained in the"Alexander Maine Vital Records under family records, p. 59 Does give a William Bonney born March 9th AD 1805 at Princeton. His wife given as Rhoda Pike his wife Nov. 17th 1810 at Princeton. They were married July 16th AD 1828 and have children as follows namely
Abigail Spencer Bonney born June 11th AD 1829
Asa Bonney born April 3d AD 1831
Ann Bonney born July 25th 1838
AlmenaEdgeley bonney born February 3d AD 1835
William Bonney Junr born November 12 AD 1836 Died Aug 15th AD 1837
William Bonney Died October 7th AD 1836
Mrs Rhoda Bonney was Married to Mr Stephen Billings August 25 AD 1838."
The information from Alexander Maine came from Janice Gower who originally created the memorial that you now maintain. I agree with all of the information with the exception of Ann Bonney birth, it should be July 25th 1833 and that is on her death certificate.

Thanks for making the correction for William Bonney, Jr. Son of William Bonney and Rhoda Pike. I do not know where Rhoda is buried, I'm still looking.

You Sir, are very welcome! It also my hobby.
PS any relation to "Billy the Kid" aka; William Bonney??
|Carol L||Samuel Bonney|
Gary there is a Samuel Bonney Jr d 1862 stone right behind Capt Samuel Bonney's stone. I believe he is the husband of Mary Gibbs Bonney since Deborah died in 1849? If you add his name I can take a pic of the stone. Carol
