Bio and Links
I was born and raised in Pikesville, Maryland. I have been researching my family history since the 1960's. 3 Gompf brothers, Peter, John, George, immigrated from Germany in the mid 19th century. Peter and John settled in the Baltimore area. George went to Canada.
If anyone wants to discuss the history of Gompf, Hartman, Schott, Sieck, feel free to contact me.

I am also researching the Thomas side of my family. Many of these people are buried at the Pines Cemetery, New Oxford, PA. They date back to the immigrant J. Philip Thomas who arrived in Philadelphia in 1747 from Germany. More recent names have been Gompf, Eckhardt, Waltman, then 4 generations of Thomas'.

I also have an extensive list of Nordwalls.

When I went to correct, the spouse was not connected on my side, it was on the side of the person that added the spouse. You will need to contact them.

RE: Walter Charles Sheen 146799899
They married, and they divorced. I have submitted a proposal to Finda A Grave recommending that he be ranked as famous/significant due to his leading contribution in Britain's air defense and ultimately to our common victory in the Second World War. In the meantime you can submit any edits/suggestions for the memorial to me.
