I live in Malibu, California with my husband and two sons. I began genealogy research 12 years ago to learn more about the people who came before me. This has led me to a very interesting journey of discovery where I have met so many wonderful people and have gained dozens of cousins that I never knew existed. Now I have family all over the world!
The memorials that I care for and manage are ONLY direct ancestors of mine. I have tried to add as much intersting information that I could find into their bios. I am sure that there is a lot more that I don't know and would love any information that you can share with me.

 | RE: James Cooper There are a lot of open spaces between stones so it is possible he just never had a stone. There are also at least a hundred graves with plain old field rocks to mark the grave. Sorry I couldn't find him for you. | | | Vicki Rush
 | Sol Abbott Hi Vicki! I see someone was finally able to get out there and take those photos for you. Funny! I just went there TODAY and got a whole bunch of shots only to discover there was no longer a need. It's a beautiful site. If you want the other shots, let me know!

 | RE: Phoebe Turner Abbott No the only headstone visible was that of Solomon Abbott. The area had a couple of field stones but nothing was engraved on them and they were laying in a random order on the outskirts of the grave area. I looked under the stones just to make sure they hadn't fallen over and hid possible enscriptions. None did so I placed them back as I had found them. | | | Bobby Collins

 | RE: Ellen Penfield Vicky, the credit goes to the Fairfield Historical Museum and the Eagle Scouts who took photos of all the headstones several years ago. The Historical Museum has them all on disks, and I have thanked the Librarian there profusely for finding the photos and sending them on to me. I did nothing except ask for them. | | | B.J. Waters
 | Teresa-Stella Coughlin Hi again. The office confirmed that the family never purchased a marker for Teresa, so I had to fulfill your request with a photo of the area only. The office staff confirmed that the family never purchased a marker for Teresa. I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome.
Regards, Bonnie

 | Teresa-Stella Coughlin Hello! I went out there yesterday to get a photo and could not find the marker. I'm sure I was at lot 10, Sunrise Slope, as the little cement number markers were readable. Do you know for sure that is the right location? I am going there again this week so if you could get back to me before my "claim" expires, I would appreciate it. For now, all I have is a photo of the area.
Regards, Bonnie

 | Lucie Juliett Blackmon Pickett #67910026 is incorrect. This memorial shows her parents to be born after she was born. They are her children. Memorial #90531850 is correct. Her name is Lucy Blackmon on stone. Don't know where the Pickett comes in. Shirley White | | | Gordon Edwards
 | Cooper Vicki, I saw your post about Sarah Cooper and Cooper Cemetery in Johnson City. Sinking Creek Baptist is actually in Carter County, as would be this cemetery, if it's across the highway from the church. Before I go out to take a look, as it's about 15 miles for me, could you tell me if you know who the property owners might be. There is no deeded record for a cemetery in that immediate area, so I'm assuming that it's on private property. That info would help me secure permissions to enter. I don't generally work Carter County, but no one seems to be working that area right now, and I wouldn't mind trying to help out. We are also having rather poor weather right now, so it may take several days. Send me a note back, and we'll see if we can't tackle this for you - happy to try.
