I am an attorney and court commissioner in Dodge County, Wisconsin. My lovely wife Julie and our kids Philip and Grace (and dog Howie) enjoy exploring cemeteries with me.|
Like most of my fellow gravers, I do this to preserve the history of those who came before us and the often beautiful works of art that mark their final resting places - and to make the information more accessible to those who might be searching for it.
My information comes from a variety of sources, including older cemetery transcriptions done by others. Feel free to contact me with corrections, additional information, transfer requests, questions, etc. I'll be happy to help if I can.

Thanks so much for photographing the Witte memorial stones in the cold of winter. I didn't expect a response so soon. I suppose it isn't too bad right now since we haven't gotten that much snow this year. Best wishes for the coming year.

They were a great shot but some of those old stones are hard to read with the naked eye. I think if we just had the dates, that would be okay the way it is. I appreciate you going the extra mile for sure. Thanks again

Thanks so much for the photos of the headstones you took. Fantastic shots too. I was surprised to see that you even track through snow to get a good shot. That is dedication for sure. I am wondering if you can make out on the Burns Stone if there is more than a year on that stone. I enlarged it but could not make it out. Thanks!

Thank you so much for writing me about the gravestone plots in the county cemetery with no markers..how sad...but wonderful that you have added the memorial pages so they are not forgotten. I was hoping that she was one of the few with markers but I'm sure the county did not have the funds to provide for everyone.
My parents at one time worked at a similar hospital in New York State...there are few markers there too.
Good luck with your genealogy,
