I am the eldest child, eldest grandchild, I was fortunate to have parents and grandparents healthy, alive and keen of memory to tell the family history throughout my youth and early adult life. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in the early 1940's, raised in Lake County, Illinois, brought up my family in suburban Cook County, Illinois, and now I am retired on the island of Puerto Rico 00773. I spend many hours in researching the family genealogy and putting the family stories together. My families have "daughtered" out in each of the past 5 generations so historical burial cemetery records and photos of headstones have provided marvelous additional information in giving my historical grandmothers a maiden name and aunts a married name. I like to document old cemeteries in Puerto Rico and in states I visit, giving me a lot of memorials that I have no relation to. So feel free to ask me to transfer any of those memorials to you.|
A Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

I have transferred Carlista's memorial to you. I agree that the info from the census regarding her being a braile translator is very interesting and thought you might like to add that yourself.

I put your suggestion on as his BIO. Is that what you wanted me to do?
|Friend||Harry J. Watson's stone|
I took another photo of this stone after brushing off some of the yellow 'stuff'. You can now read a little more, but still not perfect.

I did not mean to delete it. He's at Beals, I am sure. We (our survey team) have done a lot of research on these old burial grounds. I am going to contact you via a PM with more info. Gordon

Just realized that it was birth info, not death. Have corrected memorial. Thanks.

You're welcome. I hope that one of us will find his grave so that we can get a photo of the headstone.
|DebRob||William Daniel Barwick|
Hi Patti Jo,
I believe William's memorial is placed in the correct cemetery. Coal Bank Springs is not AKA Barwick Cemetery that I know of, but that's not to say it wasn't a hundred years ago. Had me wondering if I had made a mistake, but I noticed someone else had listed one of his wives in CBS Cem. Then my search popped up Billiongraves.com: Someone else, with a different gravestone pic, has him in Coal Bank Springs, as well.
