Hello, I was just adding John Hartman to the Shorthill Cemetery and I see that his father Malcolm is there. I see that Lucille is on the stone but I do not believe, according to Johns obituary, that she is deceased. The obituary has her name as now being Lucille Ayers. Nice to know there are other "Gravers" in Livingston! - Caroline

I see that Elizabeth is your 5th great grandmother? Elizabeth's parents are my 9th great grandparents which makes us related somewhere the heck out there - probably 7 or 8 times with some removal involved!
Just wanted to stop and say "hello". It's not every day you run into a long lost cousin!

HIs mother's maiden name was Gocke, Lizzie Gocke. Uncle "Kap" as we knew him.....was actually my great uncle. We visited him several times; he was originally from Kansas.

Dear Richard, I am a fourth cousin of James Everett Pepper on the Gilbert side. Would you let me add some of your family photos to Ancestry.com? Your memorials are wonderful, very detailed! Thank-you, Joni

Flowers are for showing you care, not for information. If you have something you feel needs to be in his bio, please send it to me in an edit and I will be more than happy to add it. Penny

|Patricia Carlson||RE: Roger L Shorthill #34918205|
That was from a memorial left by another findagrave contributor, which indicated 7th Marines, in Viet Nam. I can't find anything on him -- too recent, I guess. Roger is the husband (or ex-husband) of my first cousin's daughter. I found a marriage record in California when she was 15. Some ancestry family trees link Roger as the son of Ellis Emmett Shorthill. I find Ellis in the Shorthill Cemetery, but not linked to Roger. In fact, the contributor comments that he's not sure Ellis had any children.
Thanks for the offer of more info. At the moment, I'm not sure of the relationships. I need to ask my cousin what she knows, and will do so as soon as she gets back from her 3-week cruise through the Panama Canal.
This is me being green with envy :)

Thank you for putting this memorial on findagrave. You comment that Roger was probably not married, but I believe he was.
California marriage records indicate that Roger L. Shorthill married Denise J. Hare in San Diego, California on 18 Jun 1971, when he was 21 and she was 15.
In January 1972, they had a child, Roger L Shorthill per California birth records. I don't know if they divorced or were married until his death. I'm guessing divorce. Denise married again in 1996 under her maiden name.
Denise Hare is the daughter of my first cousin, Barbara Hare; this is how I ran across Roger today. Was he a veteran of the Viet Nam war? Are you related?
|Jan Dundas Beaver||RE: David Duncan, Shorthill Cemetery, Park County, Montana|
Just now started doing their children, James and Catherine and Catherine's maiden name is Copelin. I also found that on the marriage info for Richard Duncan(one of the children) that Catherine is listed as being from Pennsylvania so I'm not to sure if it's NY or Penn. At any rate further info you can annotate on David's memorial.
