Alfred Lee Parker is my cousin, he was born December 09, 1947 at Little River, Texas, and died June 25, 1980 (heart attack), he was the son of Roy Otto Alfred Parker and Virginia Belle "Ginger" Anderson.

Hello, I am a descendant of Lucy E. Bland, daughter of S. Calvin Bland and his wife Julia Caroline Chenault. Lucy married James Jesse Grimes. Their daughter, Annie Laura Grimes married Robert S. Hicks. Their daughter Hattie Pearl Hicks married Ernesto Vasquez Ashworth. Their son (my father), Billy Austin Ashworth, Sr. married Nora Anne O'Drain (my mother). I am David (Dave) Jack Ashworth and I married the sweetest girl in the world, Lois Catherine Billips. We have six children and 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandbaby. Lois and I have worked on the Bland family for many years and we have not yet found any documentation that Alonzo Bland's full name was Salome Alonzo Bland. Could you share with us how you and others have come to know that his first given name was "Salome"?
