I live in Waco (McLennan County) Texas and I serve as overseer of the Gerald Cemetery. I maintain the records for the cemetery in conjunction with the President Virgil Schuetz.|
I receive permission to use published obits. I also enjoy photographing cemeteries, and researching obits in the newspaper.
I do not research my family genealogy, but am using this opportunity to help others by contributing to FAG.
NOTE: West Station was the name used years ago for West TX located in McLennan County.
Mottos: Living is Giving!
Rule: Never leave home without a camera!
Favorite Headstone: God loved her more!

Thank you for the photo.
If you check out the information that I posted for Bama Fike (memorial 109157358), you will a piece of the family tree for John Robinson's wife, Hazel. Interesting family note: Hazel's brother was killed by his wife, Maxine.
Bama Fike is in one of the cemetaries that I haunt. She is Hazel's grandmother. I could complete the family links because I could not find Hazel's parents, John and Jennie Garing.
No, I am not related. Just having fun working these puzzles.

Yes thank you, I know its a duplicate but they have him in the wrong cemetery and I cant get them to move him over. If they ever do I'll remove mine. I will go by the cemetery tomorrow to make certain of where he is buried.
There are three cemeteries there. Woodman of the World, Herman sons and the City of Gonzales Memorial Cemetery which many mistake for the Gonzales City Cemetery on Collage Street. There is also the City Cemetery of Church street which is a black cemetery and butts up to the City cemetery on Collage Street. Unless you live here its confusing.
There are many people that have posted someone in the wrong cemetery here and I'm having a time getting them to move them where they go. One lady told me that she went to the funeral 20 years ago and remember just where its was and all the time I was talking to her I was stand next to the grave that she swore was in another cemetery. Lol! She drove out there the next week to see for herself then call and apologized.
Thank you for your help Cindy Munson #47210136

You don't know how much I appreciate your information. If you want to hold off on the picture I am going to see if I can make arrangements for a marker. He also has a daughter buried there but she has a marker.

Find A Grave Memorial# 126581823
His name is Jacob Frederick Chorice.
Jacob is my great-grandfather. I would like to try to correct the misspelling of his name. Correction was made on his death certificate but it was a write over and the transcriber did not catch it. His father was Johann (John) Chorice and his mother was Susan Brentlinger. I don't know if his name was spelled wrong on his marker or not. I would love to have a picture if you have the time to take it.
What you are doing is wonderful and I know all of the researchers really appreciate it. It took me nearly 10 years to find Jacob because of the misspelling of his name. Thanks so much for your work.

Thanks so much it is really appreciated as I doubt I will be going to Texas soon.
