|I have spent many years researching different branches of my family. I think Find a Grave is a great resource and I like to help.|
I visit the cemetery and take pictures for all the memorials that I create. I try to take good photos with a good camera -not a cell phone- but it is not always possible because of the conditions, etc., to get a great picture.
If you get a better picture than mine, don't hesitate to let me know and I will remove my picture. I prefer to have only the best photo of a tombstone on the site in order to allow space for family to add family photos if they wish.
If a memorial I have added is part of your family, I will be happy to transfer.

Yes, I guess you could call my entry on Texas Ranger William Maxwell Max Conner a duplicate, but what does your entry tell? It doesn't even tell where he was born or died, much less anything he had done. He wasn't even honored in being a Ranger. Just because you put your entry in before I did, in my mind, it doesn't qualify being a good entry, much less a duplicate. The reason I had been putting the Rangers on Find A Grave, was to honor them for their dangerous work they had done during the Mexican Revolution and WWI. My father was a Special Ranger during that time, so I know the work that they did. I quit putting the Rangers on, because everyone jumped in to enter the name of the Ranger, with no info whatever. That made my entries the so called duplicate. For a little info for you, Don't go by what is on the headstone, as they have many mistakes. Also on your entry, use the full name with the nick-name, not just the nick-name which is not a legal name.

thank you for the heads up about the memorial duplication. I have contacted the original memorial builder to ask him to edit his memorial with the links I have in my memorial, or to simply transfer my Uncle's memorial to me. In a few days I will delete the memorial I created. Pat Carey

Hi and thank you for all your grave photos. I'd like your permission to use the photo on this memorial, for "Lene Barnard" for my ancestry.com tree. It is not my direct ancestor but the sister of my g-g-g-grandmother, and the gravestone includes a photo of her.
Thanks, Lori Domel

I see that you have photos of the various grave markers for the Garrett family members posted. I am wondering if you would let me copy them for my family tree and ancestry.com. If this is acceptable to you, I would be happy to give you the credit if you would like it.
