Sallie Carroll
Did you have the honor of serving with Sallie? I first met her in September 2001 at our VWV Conference in San Antonio. She came into our hospitality room in her Marine Corps yellow and red PT outfit and did jumping jacks. She was a treasure and we all love and miss her. Marsha

Sallie Carroll
Hello, I am the historian for the Vietnam Women Veterans, Inc. and at our recent Conference in Phoenix, I spoke to Sallie's friend, Joan Sisco who still has her ashes. I ask her if she was going to have her ashes interred at a cemetery and she said that she would be interred at a later date at Prescott National Cemetery. I will double check with her and get back with you soon. Thank you for your interest in Sallie. She was a great lady. Marsha

RE: Eugene Franklin Baker
I didn't receive the death certificate, just a link to, of which I'm not a member. I guess I'll have to sign up to see it, but I'm not too keen on doing it.

RE: Eugene Franklin Baker
Dear Jan, In an earlier message you kindly said that you would forward me a death certificate. Would that be possible? My email address is JAC and I have been in communication and we're still not clear whether Eugene was my grandmother's brother -- son of John and Frances Baker. Many thanks, Janice aka Tigress

Willie Haskell

I saw your comment on Willie Haskell's Memorial about his ashes being scattered over the airport. Willie was a distant cousin to my husband. They never met but in working on his family tree, it would help us to know if he was married and/or had children...and any names. We cannot locate an obit for him in 2008. Thanks!!! Linda Trammel Haskell. I am a contributor so you can reply via Find A Grave.

Eugene Franklin Baker
Dear Jan, I originally posted this message on JAC's message board, then I read that you would be handling his messages. I would appreciate your looking into this correction or letting me know the person to whom it should be sent. Thanks!

There is an error in the memorial that you (JAC) created for Eugene Franklin Baker. He was not a child of John and Frances Baker (my great-grandparents) nor a sibling of my grandmother Mary Belle Baker Stultz. Your post notes that Eugene's gravestone reads "Son of John and Minnie". My great-grandmother's name was Frances, nickname Fannie, not Minnie. While I would have liked to have had a great-uncle, this man is not the one! Thanks, Janice aka Tigress

WAF in Find a Grave
Good afternoon - I have been a Death Hag for many years. I am also an ex-WAF who served during Korean and Vietnam Eras. By chance, I came across your virtual cemetery for WAF today. How wonderful!! I was able to flower three graves; will go back and see who else I may know. I did notice Janet Marovich was not listed. Anyway, you have done a wonderful thing by recognizing these fine young women. Thank you so much.
