Jo Ann Puckett Photo
I've posted a marker photo for Jo Ann Puckett at Ft. Sill Post Cemetery and it drove the portrait down, you may want to re-post it to have it above the marker photo. Thanks for your attention to this memorial.

Grand moms grave
My grand mom, Laura Vannie Evans Strickland and my 4 yr old aunt, Addie Mary, are both buried at old High Shoals cemetery, Walton Co., High Shoals Georgia. Unfortunately they are both in unmarked graves. I just added memorials for both of them here at find a grave. And will be adding the photos of them here soon.

That's why you could not find them. I've never been to their graves but my sister has been.

2 Stricklad family grave site for your records
I don't know if you have John William or my step grandmother, Julia Whitley Strickland's grave sites for your records or not.
They are both buried at Harrell Grove Church and cemetery in Douglas, Ga. Along with many other Strickland family's graves.
How my grandparents ended up in southeast Ga., from north Ga., I have no idea, nor does any of my cousins that are the siblings of my daddys brother and sisters. Another dead end so far for me to try to find out.

RE: What I have now.
We know Laura Vann or Vanna Evans Strickland (D:1920) and her little girl Addy Mary (D:1917) are buried at High Shoals but have no markers on their graves. A number of years back my sister, who's named after Laura, went to High Shoals and found both their graves with the help of a gentleman that had the plats of the graves and found them with the help of some type of instrument used to find graves. Plus her name is on the census of 1920 before her death. My dads name is also on that census as he went home to see his mom before her death. Both she and Addy Mary died of Swine Flu. I am getting help from the Clerk of High Shoals in hopes she can help me find out more about Laura as its now a historical town and they are trying to get the Family's names that first settled there. I am hoping that she and the Mayor, who's family first settled there, are going to find out more for me.
In case you are related to me: HI CUZ! Nice to meet you! :-)
So far its been a positive feeling to find out more about Daddy's family as its not been researched by any family member I know. Daddy's family's been like a mystery to solve as not much was ever mentioned or talked about them even when we would ask questions of the Aunts & Uncles before they passed they would give us no answers. We all feel like there's Strickland secrets they didn't want us to know. Me being Daddy's baby girl and hard headed/stubborn as he was :-) am determined to find out all I can.
Again thank you for answering my questions to you. Have a blessed day.
