Retired. Love genealogy and history. Have been working on a wide variety of family surnames since about 1967 but have been much more active since 1995. Enjoy taking gravestone photos and providing GPS locations for family graves.|

Hi, thank you for your message - I love it when someone comes across a photo that I've rescued! I did find a good home for the pictures, however, if you would like me to, I can email them with your regular email address to see if they want to exchange/share info. I would need your regular email address for that though. Mine is email@example.com -see my profile.
thanks again! Diane

Thanks, anyway. I thought Memorial# 81512949 might be his dad.

I saw you left a flower in his wife's memorial, so thought you might know--was James H. Gowdey a Civil War vet? If so, did he muster in from Illinois? I am trying to link memorials. Thank you!

Hi, My name is Beth Evans, and we are related through the Benson line. Polly Benson Mozena and her husband Joseph Mozena are my third great grandparents. Will be happy to swap information on our lines. But I have another question. Your Smeltzer/Smelser line, does any of it cross paths in the DC/Maryland/Virginia region? My stepfather has Smeltzer/Smelsers in his ancestral line. Just curious on whether my mom and stepfather's lines intersect. Thanks.

I have to apologize to you but while going through the photos of Beck Cemetery, that I took yesterday I did found Louisa stone. I read the name wrong.

According to the Gone But Not Forgotten Atchison County, Missouri Cemetery Book published in 1990.
Louisa Eaton Seymor had a stone.
We were in the Beck Cemetery yesterday and were unable to find her stone.
But this is the information the cemetery book had on her.
Louise Eaton Seymour Smelser
born 1806 NH
died October 20, 1888
age 81 years 8 months 19 days
1st husband John R. Symour
2nd husband John Smelser
Her stone inscription
"Dear mother, when time shall have ended
Its years and its vanities gone
May we meet thee by angels attended
To welcome eternity's dawn"
