Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a shelter manager for a small Humane Society and an animal advocate.I love geneology and research as well as headstone hunting. When I work on a memorial I try very hard to get all the info possible and make or request any links that can be found and made. Feel free to use any of my pictures as needed. I do not consider them copyrighted. As well as linking and entering family members. I also picture take in the very local cemeteries to memorialize and link family of those that created and lived our rich local history. I come across parents and grandparents, family members of friends and schoolmates with every visit to the cemeteries.

My husband and I are looking for family.
His is Young and Parmley (Kentucky,Iowa), Kutter and Hanson in Iowa and Missouri, Beston (Birston) and Parisien of North Dakota and Canada, Hardin, (Iowa) and Bruce (Missouri), Johnson(Johansan) and Beckett, (Lee Co. Iowa from Sweden)

Frank Martin and Richard Phillips
Thank you so much for the great "Vault" photo! Wow. Are these vaults just for one person? Frank's wife died in 1933. Do you think the date of death on the Memorial for Frank is incorrect...it says 1904? I am thinking of changing the date on his Memorial to match his vault. Were you able to find any of the other vaults? Thank you for catching my error on the dates for Richard Dabney Phillips.

Thanks, Carole

Martins at Oakland
Julia's Memorial says Block 4 with GPS Co-ordinates; Benjamin's says Block 4-00-36 with Co-ordinates; Frank's says Block 17-00-64 and his wife Anna says Block 31-00-15. Will these #'s be able to help you?If not I can check further.

Thank you so much, Carole

Oakland Cemetery
Hi, I have several family members who are buried at Oakland Cemetery. They are some of the first folks to move to Keokuk. They are buried in one or more of the Martin Family Vault/s. I would very much like to have a photo of the family vault/s or the area around the Vaults. I am try to get Cemetery photos of all my Ancestors. Is there any chance that you could take a photo? I see you take really nice photos and I would sure appreciate it. I have placed Photo Requests for each of them.

Thanks, Carole Lee Alexander

Decker Graves at Oakland

Thank you for your offer to transfer the manage-ment of the Esther and George memorials to me. I prefer to leave them with you, since you know this cemetery. The memorial for Clinton, my grandfather Dudley Decker's brother, was originally created by me, then transferred by me to "DJG" who was active in Oakland Cemetery.
"DJG" must have disappeared or done something wrong since that memorial was taken over by Find A Grave. I have asked Find A Grave to transfer the memorial back to me, since I created it.
If and when this is done, I will transfer it to you. Uncle Clinton moved to Keokuk for his job, and no other members of my Decker family live there, and my goal, at age 81, is to transfer more distant relatives' memorials to others.
Contact me if you need any look-ups in Chicago cemeteries.
One numerous branch of my Decker family settled around Macomb, Illinois, and is buried there. That branch founded the Decker Manufacturing Company in Keokuk, which sill exists.
