Bio and Links
Bio Photo I greatly enjoy researching "Roots"

In High School, I "Yawn" did not like History and thought it very dull. Oh how age changes you !!

I have been researching now for a few years and though some of the information I have does not agree with what you have, I would like to hear from you and share information or hand over the internment I have entered. If I have entered a name that already exsists, means I did try to contact the person that has already entered the infortmation and I have not recieved any reply !!!!

My main research has been in various counties and states so far, too many to name here in a short space. I have met several wonderful people and share in a wonderful family !!

Happy Hunting !

Mary Ann Keller Memorial# 13993586
Briefly Mary Ann married John Keller in 1848. They had several children before John traveled to Iowa where he died in 1857. She moved with her young children into her widowed mother's home by 1860 where her surname is listed as Bowersock (transcribed as Bowerson). After her mother died, and her children were on their own she moved in with her sister's family and is listed as a domestic servant in 1870. Again her surname is listed as Bowersock. She married again in 1873. When she married Madison Kemper her surname is noted as Keller on the marriage record. Madison had been married to Jane Smith until her death in 1871. Unfortunately his memorial is linked as a spouse to a man. Hopefully I can have that correction made also. I request a couple of edits for Mary Ann's memorial and feel you should be aware of the above. I tried to e-mail you directly with supporting sources but received a mail delivery failure. Your consideration of the edits will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hellen M Piatt Workman
May I offer a slight correction to Hellen's grave notation. Hellen is the daughter of John Piatt not James McPherson (note the parents listed on the death certificate)
I think the confusion involving James McPherson came about because Helen's husband, Daniel Workman is the son of Daniel workman & Elizabeth McPherson who is the daughter of James McPherson.

Hope this helps. Keep up the good work.

Harrietta Finfrock Valentine
I am wondering what your source was for the bio info on this memorial (# 14205612). The bio states she is the daughter of George & Ann Mary Bauersachs (Bowersox). The information I had previously gathered placed a child with the same name (different birthdates) as the child of George & his 3rd wife Maria Elizabeth Black. Do you know if he had two daughter's named Harrietta with different wives????

More About Violet HAYS?
Hello!
Wondering if you know more or are related to the Herrod Cemetery (Logan Co., OH) entry, Violet HAYS? Or even have any contacts about Violet?
Family tradition goes George W. HAYES was orphaned at an early age, so raised by his grandparents, possibly the WATSONs. I have found a marriage record, as follows: Samuel HAYES (1800- ) m. 18 Sept 1826 Logan Co., OH to Samuel HAYES.
Needless to say, am anxious to hear from you.

Geo. W. Earhart
Do you have a family connection to the above G.W. E. buried at Newcomer? Or perhaps the poster of the photographs of the Jr. & Sr. Earhart's. Is this the Geo. W. Earheart married to Diana Keller in 1837 who died in childbirth in 1838? Newark, Licking Co., Ohio. The Geo I have in my records appears to be the same based on his father and mothers maiden name...any Help?
Thank you...my email is rachel_keller@yahoo.com

Baxter B. Fite III
Private John W. Smith, Co. K, 86th Illinois
Dear Root Digger, My name is Baxter Fite and I have been searching out the men who served in the 86th Regiment of Illinois Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War since 1985. During this time, I had found over 700 of the men who served in this unit. Then late last year, I found out about Find A Grave and since that time, I have frantically been adding Find A Grave sites for the ones who did not have Find A Grave sites and adding all of the information that I have about these men to their Find A Grave sites. I was thrilled to find that you had already set up a site for Private John W. Smith. I would love to add all of the information that I have about Private Smith to his site. If possible, would you check out some of the biographies and sites that I have set up or added information to for the men who served beside John in Co. K of the 86th Illinois. You can go to some of their sites by clicking on the Virtual Cemetery button at the bottom of Private Smith's Find A Grave site. If you remember, he is buried in the Harrod Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio. Check out his Captain's site, that of Captain John F. French. Then if you feel what I am doing is worthwhile, would you consider transferring, at least temporarily, John W. Smith's site to me so that I could add a nice biography about him? Thanks for considering this request. Sincerely, Baxter B. Fite III

So glad to see this cemetery now in findagrave. I am wondering what
your source of the information is and is all that are believed to be
buried there?
I am a Blue Jacket descendant and am very interested in the history of
Logan County and all it's cemeteries.
Thanks for any additional information you can give me.
