Bio Photo Welcome to my profile.
I enjoy walking through cemeteries and looking at memorial stones. I find it relaxing and peaceful and have met some of the nicest people through Find A Grave!

It makes me happy to help someone add a page to their history and keep the person's memory alive. I also feel that it may give a family a type of closure to know where a loved one is located.

My pictures are not copyrighted, please feel to post them on your tree. All I ask is that you give me credit for them. EX: Photo courtesy of Chloe Perdew.

Please use the new Edit System when possible for making any name or date changes to a memorial. You add the changes yourself and I will approve them or contact you for further clarification.

I am happy to add or correct information for you on memorials. I am somewhat liberal with transfers of anyone not related to me, but please state your specific relationship.

Please also feel free to contact me via email or post a message regarding any additional related family members. Perhaps we are cousins!

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Hi there! Thank you for that info! I wasn't aware he had another son. Was he married twice? I only know of his children Algernon (Algie, my great grandmother) & Cuvius, whom he had with wife Mary Priscilla Carey-McMillan.I do know he also has 2 headstones, and is psychically buried in Ohio. He and Mary have a plot/headstone in Prospect Hills Cemetery in Cassopolis, MI. Where I live. I just updated with a photo. My grandmother tells me there is a memorial headstone also for him in Wabash Indiana, where he served as a Captain in the army during the civil war.

William Cordell Schweizer
I'm wondering if you have any relation to William Cordell Schweizer (71917115)... I have been researching my wife's mysterious family for some time now and it seems William was the 2nd husband to my wife's grandmother Linda Marie (85891601)...

To make a really long story short, my wife nor her mother ever knew Linda Marie (real name, Beulah Mae) because she left when my mother-in-law was a baby... I just within the past few weeks found that she had changed her name and from there I found she was also married at least 3 times...

I was told by some of my wife's new found family that Linda had other children and that William may of been the father...

If your any relation, please let me know and maybe I can trace down some missing brothers for my mother-in-law...

Thanks,
Michael A Thompson

You are such a DOLL! Thank you for leaving Momo a flower. I just know she saw you do that, and she told Elsie and Roy about it. You are a wonderful friend!

Hello Chloe. So glad you found her, and that I had a part in that! Of course, I've already made the transfer so you can update her memorial. Let me know if you need anything else from Standing Rock Cemetery. *Janice

Hmmmm. That cemetery isn't very big, don't know how I missed it. Sorry about that - it's been deleted.
