I am a second generation native of California, but my roots go deep into New England via the Midwest and Great Plains. (Genealogy and family history figure large in my interests.)|
I grew up with a view of Glen Abbey Memorial Park, and my siblings and I roamed its grounds when we could. Although none of my family is buried there, I feel a kind of ownership of that place!
I like to take multiple photos in Glen Abbey Memorial Park, to give a feel for the place where people are buried. If I have posted more photographs than you would prefer on a memorial of one of your loved ones, let me know your preferences. On the other hand, if I have only posted a photo of the marker and you would like something more, let me know that, and I will take more photos or add something I already have for that area of the cemetery.
You may contact me at jfgilman at gmail or by a message here.

Thank you for posting the photos and information about Kit Spears Parrott, Nellie Loop Parrott and John W. Loop on the Find A Grave site. Kit Spears Parrott was my maternal grandfather's uncle and I never knew much about either him or his family until recently. I still don't know what took Kit and his family from his native Tennessee to the west coast. Now I, at least, know where he and his family are buried.

Jane, Never mind. I put the sentence into memorial's bio.

Oh, okay. Unusual, but it happens! lol
A note or two might be beneficial, as others may also question the marriage/death year.
Also, did you check the order? I think it looks right.

Regarding Frederick Horne, you sent an email stating the marriage to Edythe was 1959? He died 1959? Is that correct?

I found this plot by working through the cemetery. You can call 801-567-7242 ext 2589 and talk to a nice lady named Audrea Andreason. Ask her about plot B-117NE-1. I couldn't find this grave so I called the number listed in the Midvale City Directory for the Cemetery and it was her. She has a contact that actually works at the cemetery and she went out and flagged the location for me. She told me it was a little south-west of the flag pole and about ten rows in from the road. When I drove up after work it was easy to see the flag and it was inbetween the markers for Elijah Montague Baker and Russel Boyd Baker. There is a web site under Utah Division of State History that will give you Burial Record information, by the person's name and their plot number. So when I had that information and gave it to Audrea, she was able to get the helper mark the location. I then came home and looked up Elijah Montague Baker and his plot was numerically right next to herse. I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I believe the answer is yes, but why not call Audrea and see what she says?
Jane --Thank you very much for the photos. Your work is appreciated.

Thanks so much for the gravesite photo. Thanks for your contributions and dedication to "Find a Grave".
Thank you so much for the lovely photos of my great-aunt's headstone (Ollie Lee Massey Petz). I've never seen it before, so I really appreciate it. Thanks again!
