NOTE: As of March 2015, I've made it through surgery and chemotherapy, and the cancer seems to be gone. I'm very hopeful, and very appreciative of all the words of kindness and encouragement.|
As of August 2014, I'm dealing with my mother's recent death and my own recent cancer diagnosis. Please be patient with any suggestions / edits you send. Thanks in advance!
[PLEASE read (starting with para. 2) before contacting me about a memorial; it will save us both time and trouble. Thanks!]
I'm a history major and a lawyer (University of Virginia, Emory University;) a fanatic about live music (Todd Rundgren, Gene Owens, the blues;) and a photographer. I'm a wife and a mother (a son who recently graduated from law school at the University of Georgia and a daughter who recently graduated from Tulane.) I have a house full of rescued dogs and cats.
If I'm the caretaker of a memorial for someone who was closer to you than to me, I'll consider transferring that memorial to you; feel free to ask, but please include DETAILS as to your relationship to the deceased.
If you have additional information or links that you want added to a memorial, please send details and DO include links to your SOURCES: I'm unlikely to make additions/links if I can't verify their accuracy
All requests for transfers, all suggestions, and all corrections MUST be sent via the edit tab on the memorial in question. If you use the "Other" option you'll be able to send an explanation of, and links to, your sources for suggested changes to a memorial.
If you need to write me at my email address about something else (e.g., a suggestion or correction I've sent you,) PLEASE include a copy of any relevant correspondence and a link to the memorial(s) in question.
If I've posted a cemetery photograph that you want to use on Ancestry, please feel free to do so IF and ONLY IF you include the entire caption as the photograph description. You MUST get my express permission to use any of my photographs OTHER than those taken in cemeteries.

I have made several bio changes and such to those memorials and am in the process of finishing the rest and transferring them back.
Tried to leave the source information on each intact, particularly the credit you gave to the original surveyor. I have also requested photos for each, though I know they are all in the mausoleum.

Hi Ellen, just read your bio and so happy that you are cancer free!! Whoohoo. Trust you are doing well. I've just sent or will be sending edits for William Able and his wife, Georgia Ella (Boss) Stone. She is a distant relative of mine - her father is a brother to my 2x great grandfather. Anyway, I found some of the information on Georgia Virtual Vault (death cert. for William) and Ancestry.com. Thanks for all you do on Find A Grave and continued wishes for your health and well being. Joyce

Terribly long long edit I sent for Victor Dessert, please forgive me. And as I said in the edit email, I will be more than happy to resubmit any information in the "new" edit function feature, or whatever you need me to do. I should have just sent the articles the first time, but the previous ones I'd found were on genealogybank. So I found them on free googlearchives instead. (That's not all the articles on this family I found either, but those are the pertinent ones for the immediate family).

I added some family pictures to Wilma Mays' memorial.
|David Goltry||John Guy Akers|
Hi again, here is where I got my info.
also Bertha Belle Akers marker has her name as "Belle".
I hope this helps.
|David Goltry||John Guy Akers|
Hello, Per his cemetery marker, he went by the name "Guy". And the cemetery record also gives his name as "Guy". So I believe this is the correct way to add it.
|Suzy & Rob||Ellsworth Cleary|
I've just approved the links to Ellsworth Cleary's parents but I think my memorial may be a duplicate in the wrong cemetery. Please look at:
I created my memorials at Fairmount from the sexton records at the Denver Public Library. I have since discovered that in some cases Fairmount simply acted as a mortuary and shipped the body elsewhere. I think this may be the case here.
In looking at census records, it does look like Ellesworth lived in Arizona and that his wife was Alma. However, his names are slightly different.
Please look at it and give me your opinion. If you agree that it is the same person, let me know and I'll delete my memorial and then the links to his parents will have to be redone on this other memorial.
|Emily E. Farley Smith||RE: Missing You|
Hi Ellen, sorry I haven't replied sooner. I'm giving myself a much needed break from the forums & the main site. I just wasn't enjoying myself as I used to. I started adding a few memorials & keeping up with edits a couple of weeks ago but not everyday like I used to. I'm easing back into it. I'll be back to the forums soon - I do have moments of missing it. :)
I hope you're doing well - did I read you're in remission? I hope that you are.
Thank you for thinking of me and keeping in touch. Please know that you're in my prayers.
Talk to you soon,
Sent you an email to you Gmail address.

I have removed all the memorials for the Fayette Hill Chestnut Hill Cemetery and moved them all to Cumberland Co, PA. Thanks so much for letting me know about my mistake.
