Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have found myself in a move to central
Georgia !

I have enjoyed working with cemeteries of Dawson, Lumpkin, Cherokee, Hall and Forsyth Counties of North Georgia.

The Forsyth County's Sawnee View Gardens and Mausoleum Cemetery, in Cumming, Georgia, now has all photos uploaded, however, I am updating the entries from other sources. It is the last complete cemetery that I photographed in North Georgia.

If you find your name listed as a survivor in an obituary I have posted and would like your name removed, just ask. It will be removed promptly. I think obituaries add a lot of genealogical information that if not captured will be lost, with cremation on the rise related to the cost of living, this may be all that remains to memorialize our families.
If a newspaper or funeral home has already published a name in an obituary, your anonymity is already compromised, if that's what you want to call it that (But with the internet ruling our world, what is private anyway ?)

Please feel free to use any of my photos found on find a grave in your family histories.

Happy Hunting, Bren

RE: hicks
I will check. Do you have any Hix or Nix that you have found? I am searching for Sarah (or Saney) E Hix/Nix Mitchell. I just thought if you are in North Georgia you may come across her. Thanks

RE: Lewis Hicks
You are so welcome. There is a large headstone also but there are no names on it. I will take a picture of it after the grave behind it has been filled in. There will be a funeral just behind this one tomorrow.

I did not see a marker for a wife. I will go back and check again; she may be somewhere else?. The cemetery is only about 5 miles from me.

No problem. I moved the front of the headstone to the top, leaving the slab in the last position. Thanks for the photos.

I was just trying to tell you about the ancestry Rule- and offered to add the information.
And If I were mad or offended, I would not have added where I came from, or that it was my family. I was telling you I cared too.

RE: edits/ marriage
I am sorry. I don't know what in the world I said that made you think you had offended me or intruded into my personal life....

I will be glad to add the marriage to the notes of Thomas James Harris & Gladys Haywood. The section you added it is- is not to be used for that according to find a grave. They are my family.
