Findagrave has a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This feature is a true blessing.|
Thank you for visiting!
My mother, Mary Edith "Meg" Stevens and I, were/are long-time supporters of Findagrave -- a wonderful site to place memorials and do research. She sadly passed away in May of 2013, but her love of genealogy and helping others find their family, lives on.
One of my interest areas is the American Revolution. Please feel free to visit my page on Facebook and assist in the research. https://www.facebook.com/groups/RevWarRsch/.
I also welcome you to follow my weekly blog at GenealogyBank or to follow me on Twitter.
Thank you. I wish you success in your family research.
***** REQUESTS FOR CORRECTIONS *****
If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit. Under no circumstances should they be added to other sites (such as Ancestry) as if they are your own.
Photographs of individuals require permission, and if lifted from here without appropriate permission or credit are subject to licensing fees.
REQUESTS TO ADD OBITUARIES:
Obits under copyright should be summarized, or cannot be posted (many less than 72 years, or longer if a newspaper renewed the copyright.)
REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS
Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.
As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.

I also recognise this soldier Christian Jacobs as being in the 69th Pa Infantry Civil War. I can add extra information etc etc. Would you consider passing to me?

Thank you! I appreciate it so much!

Maria was my 4th great grandmother. I want to make sure I understand your position on gravestone photos. May I use your photograph for online family trees, if I credit you as photographer on it. Either way, thank you for taking the photograph. It's wonderful being able to see it!
|DogMama08||Geraldine Barfield #18108961|
I submitted a name-change auto edit on Ms. Barfield. Her Social Security records spell her first name JERALDINE. One of the SSA records shows her maiden name was MILLER.
I'm afraid I don't understand the grave photo on her memorial. None of the names on the plaque are hers.

NICE CATCH! Thanks for providing the information.
|Y||William Gessells - Memorial# 26167338|
I have located military documents which place William's death and burial in Nebraska. He and wife Margret were visiting a child at the time of death. Margret's Widows Pension Application includes affidavits stating death and burial in Glengary, Nebraska. There is a Find a Grave memorial established for him.
I hope you can help me with what appears to be two memorials for the same person.

|Carol Lewis||Rachel Ann Rose Lykins|
My 2nd great-grandmother's name was Rachel Ann Rose Lykins and was married to David Isaac Lykins. David is buried in Stinson Cemetery in Caney, Kentucky and I was wondering if you had any information why Rachel would have been buried in Michigan. Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
