Findagrave has a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This feature is a true blessing.
***** REQUESTS FOR CORRECTIONS *****
UPDATE REQUESTS RECEIVED BY EMAIL: Please keep your requests via the "other" information option to a minimum, as the workload has become unsustainable.
Over zealous senders may find theirs deleted. Hope they switch to messages via flowers. Thank you.
REQUESTS TO ADD OBITUARIES: Obits under copyright should be summarized and will not be posted, so please do not send them. In most cases, there is a 72-year or longer time period.
DOWNLOADING POLICY: If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit. Under no circumstances should they be added to other sites (such as Ancestry) as if they are your own.
Photographs of individuals require PERMISSION, and if lifted from here without appropriate permission or credit are subject to licensing fees.
REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.
As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.
RE: Ann Hendricks Stewart & dau., Eliza Jane Would you please send me the URL where your Family Bible leaf can be seen/printd or copied? I wonder if it might be the one from the Charles A & Anna Stewart Mock Family Bible which DAR #702701 ( Elizabeth Kaldenberg) cited on her application to document Jacob & wife, Ann Hendricks?.. If she sent a copy, DAR did not keep it. She descends from Jacobís son, Thomas. We are planning to cite her # for generations for Jacob/Ann & Eliza Jane /Henry and hope that Bible page includs Eliza Jane & that it might have been kept when sent by another member.
Thanks for your suggestion about asking for a sextonís record. I found phone # for the Oakview Cemetery in Albia, IA where Eliza Jane was buried, but keep getting a recording. Will try again tomorrow. Many thanks.
You may notice I was able to document most of the Baeder/Esling family (of whom you maintain) who is interned at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in the Mausoleum located in Section K, Lot 329. The reason for my message was that if you are related to the Baeder or Esling families, you may be interested to know there was another family name also within this Mausoleum by the name "Mallon" (Louise, Dorothy and Roberta). I have created Memorials for each and would be happy to transfer their management to you if you wish &/or are related. Just let me know.
Separately, there are (3) interments within the Mausoleum that for some reason I missed. I hope to return to LHC in JUN and will complete and upload those as well.
Ann Hendricks Stewart & dau., Eliza Jane I an a member of Findagrave (#48241044) and am a DAR registrar in Phoenix, AZ. I am trying to help a prospective member document that her ancestor, Eliza Jane Stewart who married Henry Saunders was a daughter of Ann Hendricks and Jacob Stewart. I found Eliza J. & Henry just below 55 year old Jacob and the rest of his family on the 1850 census in Washington Twp, Decatur Co., IN.
do you know of any way to document that he & Ann were Eliza Jane's parents? Our prospective's great grandmother was DAR member #82499. She gave no documentation for this parentage and no dates/places for births/deaths of Jacob & Ann.
Eliza Jane & Henry were buried in Albia, Monroe Co., IA. Her memorial # is 98282811 if you wish to connect her to Ann.'s memorial #6148555. . A more recent DAR member said Jacob was born 4 Oct 1792 in IN & died on 16 Jul 1894 in Albia, IA.
Transfer Request Anyway I can get George Elmer Batten transferred to me. I would like to add more information and connect him to other family members. He is a ancestor of my husbands mother. He is in Evergreen Cemetary in Camden, NJ....Connie
I dug up the death certificate for Henry Niemann #94481099 (following up a theory my cousin had that being a neighbor of our GGrands he died of the same thing they did since they all died within a year of each other) the theory panned out.
I don't add death certs as pictures... but am glad to email to you. Just let me know.
