|I have been interested in my ancestors for as long as I can remember, wishing I could travel back in time to meet them. |
I also love cemeteries, they are so peaceful and beautiful. My favorite ones being the old and very ornate ones with lots of statues. If you are ever in Savannah, Georgia you have to visit Bonaventure Cemetery. With Spanish Moss hanging from trees to Angels and Weepers it is truly breathtaking. In fact I love cemeteries so much I live right next door to one.
My families I'm researching:
Maternal: Baker, Camden, Clouse, Hackett, Ritter, Shields, Smith, Vance
Paternal bio: Gunder, Gardener, TooGood/Twogood, Vogul/Vogele, Weisz
Paternal adoptive: Magda, Jadach, Jakupczyk, Karkut, Skowronski
Maternal: Cirulis, Kupics, Limberga, Militz/Milics, Pencis, Rogainis
Paternal: Abolins, Baksa, Della-Krastins, Rauda

Thanks for the edit updates! I put in an edit request through her first spouse's mem page. She was married twice: to Joseph Gunder and to Charles D. Bunce, hence the full name you see above.

|Steve Turman||Albert Lee Weisz and Rosina Margaret Vogele|
My name is Steve Turman, and my Uncle is Melvin Gustav Weisz.
I noticed your Find A Grave site for Albert Lee Weisz and Rosina Margaret Vogel was missing M G Weisz as a child of
Albert and Rosina (Rosena)and can provide you more information on the family if so desired.
It seems that we could be distant relatives. I am the great niece of Weldon and Shirley Fink. Shirley Boyer Fink is my paternal grandmother's (Earline Boyer Adler Gordon) sister. I am the youngest daughter of Earline's middle boy, Robert.
Earline was born 7/18/31 and died 12/30/99
Robert Adler was born 7/27/54 and died 12/22/08
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to find our common bond.

IN MEMORY OF
MICHELE MAGDA POLIS
BORN: September 9, 1966 DIED: September 26, 2001
Michele Polis, 35-year-old MSU hockey instructor and friend to many on campus, passed away on September 26, 2001 after collapsing at Floyd Arena. She had arrived at Floyd Arena to accompany the Quarry Cat's Women's Hockey Team practice session, whom she acted as coach and coordinator to.
"She [Michele] meant the world to everyone. This is such an unfortunate loss to Floyd Arena," said Manager of Floyd Hall Arena Tim Fox. Assistant Manager of the Floyd Arena and MSU alumni Dan Murtha also expressed his sadness when stating, "She will be sadly missed, but her memory will go on. She meant a lot to everyone here, whether is be employees, customers or friends."
Floyd Hall Arena opened in March of 1998, at which time Polis began as a customer and volunteer. In ‘99-‘00, Floyd Arena officials realized that Polis was "such a great hockey administrator that we hired her as a paid instructor," said Fox.
Floyd Hall Arena has put together a scholarship fund, which is named "The Michele A. Polis Memorial Fund," the proceeds of which will go to her two children Aleko and Nikos Polis.
Those interested in donating can make checks available to "The Michele A. Polis Memorial Fund," or contact one of the Floyd Arena managers. Further updates on the Memorial Fund can be found at the Floyd Arena website at www.floydhallarena.com.

Hi Kim -
I also research the Gunders and found your listing for Elizabeth Savits Gunder. You may be interested to note that her husband Caspar is buried several miles from her in Olive Branch Cemetery in Boone County. I have a posting and picture under than cemetery name. It was at one time apparently called Old Dunkard Cemetery which in multiple transcriptions has become "Old Durchard."
I do have more on the family if you need it.
