I have been working on family history now for 37 years. I am originally from Lancaster, SC now residing in Columbia, SC. I have travelled the country looking for grave sites related to Youngs, Steeles/Steels, Heglers, Williams, Stewmans, Dentons, McCains, Blackmons, Stogners, Finchers, Manns, Lowerys, Hartsells, Miskelleys, Catoes, McManus', McAteers and others. Any information on any of these families will always be appreciated. Thanks to all those who have been so great at helping and transferring and leading me to the right places to get the family together. (Sorry if I ask for the aunts, uncles, cousins, the great aunts and great uncles and the such. They are family and if you are not related I don't understand the problem.) I do not mind transferring any memorial that I've created that is not in my family group(except for spouses) Please email or leave a public message, Thanks ever so much again. PS- an occasional statement has been made about the number of memorials managed vs created. I have requested to manage a number of memorials of a family member who passed away in order to keep the work up on the family history.|

Most welcome for Mr. Riddle! Thanks for your contributions as well!

Her grave is in the section I call the Main Hill (see aerial photos on my Website at www.stephensroots.com).
It's in the SE quadrant, lower section. That section is relatively small, so you should be able to find the marker in the winter.

I understand totally. It can get very confusing, especially when dealing with a lot of memorials. Thanks for all your hard work!!

If the U.S. Pensioner's list is correct she received a widow's payment in June 1847 and Sep 1847 column is marked "Dead". Perhaps who ever did the tombstone was not aware of this. Wife of Ripley Copeland

Could you tell me in grandview memorial park where you located the garris family..I accepted a request to get pic of Willie s grave..notice you took one of him and his wife but this k someone wants a full pic..don't mind going out there..the office told me they are in the section old veterans and after walking it twice..I believe he's somewhere else...any chance you keep notes and could tell me I'd appreciate it..otherwise I ll have to go ask Sammi again in office..she advised he s not there but obvious to me you found them prior..thank you

Lancaster is on the other side of town from me. I took photos of everything that was out there about 6 years ago. Maybe he has a stone now. I'll go look and see what I can find.
