Joy, thank you for all the recent work that you have done at the Griffith Family cemetery. I have a couple of cousins that have been there and based on what they described, it sounds like you really worked in a difficult situation. Can you tell me if you happen to have any sweeping or wide views of the cemetery/plots that you took a picture of that you could post? Thank you again, Joel Mason

Hey Joy ... thank you for posting photo of my Uncle Gerald's headstone. Debbie
|BlueJeansandPearls||Thankful For JOY|
Thank you Joy Ten Times a Million for taking the time to find my grandfathers grave and my father's infant brother's. And taking the photo's for our family to now have record. We live so far away and as time passes the dates and stories get faded like blue jeans. We don't have to wonder or guess anymore. You completed the story for us. We will be forever and eternally Thankful. Always, Laura
|Gay Hobt Morton||Civil War soldiers|
Thank you for your generosity of spirit. Your help in finding the burial sites of the Civil War soldiers of Monroe Co. Tn, has done much to get these men included in the tombstone and burial place survey at the ETHC. You have done much to preserve these soldiers for both research and remembrance.
thank you for info and pic's.

Found your pic of the tombstone marking the resting place of my grandfather, Lonnie E. Watkins, on the findagrave Website. Would like your permission to use the photo for "source" verification on my ancestry.com family tree.
Thanks, Lonnie Watkins

|Mary A Sloan-Bird||Isaac Burlison Death date|
My records indicate that Isaac probably died in 1846 in Monroe Co. There are records that show he made land transactions in 1843 and 1844 in Monroe Co.
Researchers with the Burleson Family Assn. also believe the date put on the stone is an incorrect year.
|Frances Rogers||Bas Shaw|
Hi, Joy! Thanks for the info about Bas--I have changed the memorial to reflect that, and I also removed the link to Samuel as father. The Shaws and the Kirklands are enough to drive a researcher crazy! I had wondered about an Irish ancestry when Bas seemed to be Indian.
|BlueJeansandPearls||Thank you 10x 10,000|
Thank you 10x 10,000 for helping me find this grave and the name of my Dad's brother he never knew that died when he was just an infant. Your help in finding the newspaper article was an amazing record for our family!
