I think the newspaper just assumed it was a boy, since 2 boys were playing with the gun. The parental name is correct per both the tombstone and the obit, and in the 1900 census, the mother had only lost 1 child, so it about has to be this burial.

I don't know about those cemetery names. I did send a note to Find A Grave that it might be known by that alternate name because sometimes they put those on.

My dad always said we were Scotch and Irish with a little Pennsylvania Dutch thrown in for good measure. He never would explain what he meant about the Pennsylvania Dutch. I learned a little over 2 years ago what he meant - George and Barbara Newman!
