RE: John and Mary Watkins Memorial
Hi Virginia,

Thank you so so much for the transfer!! I've only been doing this for a few days and already I'm finding it very rewarding! I never dreamed of finding so much family I never knew I had! My fathers father was raised in an orphanage after his parents were killed and he could only remember basics, but it was enough of a few bread crumbs!! So, TY for making his family connections a little easier.

Warm Thanks

Angie Higgins

Watkins Family of Luzerne Co., Pa
Hi Virginia,

Thank you so much for this sight for John H Watkins and his wife Mary Ann Haggerty. I've just recently been finding my fathers ancesters the last 2 years and finialy this last October we made our way out to Hazleton and were able to find so many of his aunts, uncles, cousins and his 4 times great grandparents that came from Wales!! So TY for your adding them to findagrave and helping so many fill in the missing blanks!

I'd be so grateful if you could (or tell me how to) begin a hyperlink and begin adding John and Mary Ann's extended family into this memorial if that's possible. I have all of his siblings, in-laws, parents and grandparents that I can find, cross referenced with documents to be sure they are correct. My tree name is Bret and Andrea Higgins family tree if you want to look at it.

I have no idea how to do it and I'm not quite sure what it will take to do it. Can you please let me know if you have the time or would even be willing to take on a task like this. Like I said I've only been at this the last year and a half or so. I'm willing to learn but I also don't want to interrupt all your wonderful work!

Please feel free to contact me through ancestry at anytime that's convenient for you. I'd love to hear from you and what you think about my proposal!!

Have a Happy Day

Angie Higgins

Thank You
Virginia,

I was doing some research for work (law firm) and had never been on the Find a Grave website. I decided to check out my parent's grave. While I have been there many times I have not been there in several years. I was very touched to see your "Thank You For Your Service" message on my father's page. That was such a thoughtful thing to do. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I have never been to the cemetery on a Federal holiday but have heard from family members that there are flags flying throughout the cemetery. Makes me proud.

Thanks again for your kindness - Linda.
